This is a memorial portrait of my sweet cat Sydney that I recently completed.
So far, this is the one and only animal portrait I've ever drawn.
I decided to draw a portrait of her to help myself heal from the grief of unexpectedly having to say goodbye to her.
The process of giving life to every inch of her on a blank sheet of paper has helped me to reconnect with her essence and accept life without her.
It was absolutely worth every effort.
