I never heard this band before, I was looking around youtube for metal bands. Found this band. I can't say that, I am sorry that I did. This song kicks ass. I want to hear more, SO I shall. Damn good song!!

Underrated band. Why they don't get any more exposure is beyond me.

They don't tune down, or, at least, they're not tuning down to B, A, or lower, and yet, the first minute of ANY of these guy's albums tends to be more brutal and heavy than any 10 bands (with some exceptions of course) and the riffing is always so interesting. They're like the european version of immolation.... very under-rated, extremely skilled, GREAT songwriters, AND THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT "EXTREME METAL" MEANS AND PRODUCE EXTREME METAL. Even when they do something "softer" or "slow" or "super melodic" its STILL FUCKING HEAVY. They embody the soul of extreme metal, just like immolation.

Man oh man, there last 2 albums were so fucking amazing. Sounds like a tonne of bricks. The drummer he is kicking ass like hell. I had read so many bad comments about the last 2 albums and don't understand why??? They did a perfect 10/10 job...this is too bad. I hope they will come back together with another new awesome album!!!

@EyeH8Gzus Yes, he is the one who played on Spheres in 1993, back when he still had frets on his bass. Shperes was actually his first record, and Pestilence his first pro band.

Possessed is awesome old-school, but you can't really compare them and modern-day Pestilence. This is awesome.

I actually had this Idea long before I started playing guitar, so did others, but I will not be able to play that what I want in 10 years or so : D

great to have them back, although imo they sound a lot like morbid angel these days which is never really a bad thing :p

@bolivardogman I think not on all the songs. At least he's credited for playing 4&6 string basses, I think one of the bass he uses is fretted, either the 4 string or a Warwick Thumb 6 (which he still owns and never touch nowadays). Not 100% sure of that though.

@PinkPantherPunk Sounds different because they are different, and 20 years have passed since Consuming Impulse. Meanwhile, Mameli has become a huge Jazz fan. The resurrection macabre line up is the same than the TOTA one, except for the drummer (here it's the guy from Darkane). Since then, Jeroen replaced Tony Choy, and Wildoer was replaced by another drummer.

@rottenroth agree man, not many realizes bands are not rich unless your right up there. Most of them sacrifices alot to do what they love, many even have to pay to be eigible to play, meaning they don't get all expenses covered. People need to realize that and start apreciate the bands for what they do.
