Something I love about communist songs is their meaning behind them. As you said, they made you feel like you matter and were focused on the little things in life that made people happy. They mentioned children laughing and how they didn’t want war but they would strike back if attacked. It gives a sense of community along with the amazing music. Songs from the US (while I do love the rhythm) they make you feel patriotic to the country as if the country made you who you are and that you should be willing to lay down your life for it. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing it’s just that they dont connect with you in the way that socialist songs do. Im American and capitalist btw Edit: Im still american just not capitalist anymore

fun fact: this anthem was translated to every nation in the warsaw pact. even china got a translated copy. further fun fact: there where anthems translated for france, a reunited Germany, all the nordic nations, yugoslavia, albania, greece, turkey, all the benelux/lowlands nations, italy, and spain and portugal, and even an english translation. the hope was that these nations eventually come to communisim and join the Warsaw pact.

yee the USSR itself was design so that everyone would eventually join it, with its anthem originally being the internationale which is translated into bascailly every langauge (it change in 1943/4 in part to show the western allies that the USSR wasnt trying to take spread revolution anymore)

@The Crusader USA is a leader of NATO and NATO exists to keep its countries under American influence. They use more covert means than Warsaw pact but they in the end acheave the same goal. For example they supported terorist attacks in Macedonia to force them to change their name and push them into NATO, in Montenegro they supported dictator Milo Djukanović who pushed Montenegro into NATO without a referendum and they are trying the same thing in Serbia and Bosnia.

Here's a game, the picture that shows the 6 men in a line. Identify each man's nationality by only looking at their rifles. The only ones I'm sure about is man 3 is czech, 5 is hungarian, 6 is east german. My guesses are that man 1 is romanian, 2 is bulgarian, 4 is polish.

@@Alexandre_Herzen Ушли не отовсюду и не сразу.Ушли после того ,как обогатились за счет Африканского континента фактически выкачивая от туда все и везя это в свою метрополию.В последствии чего там было несколько голодов ,а в это время рядом кто то качал нефть.СССР помогал этим странам восстановится и развивал их стоя там школы и инфраструктуру.

@@Alexandre_Herzen А кто же еще ?Ведь колонисты жили хорошо пока умирали миллионы Африканцев ,жили хорошо пока в Африке были ужасные голода.И когда туда ,как вы сказали пришли диктаторы все это прекратилось. Выжитая Африка должна была ,как то восстанавливаться ,полностью безграмотное население нужно было обучить и в этом помогал именно СССР ,а не колонисты которые там сидели до этого.

Аж плакать хочеться на столько в душу лезет, настолько тогда был дружен лагерь альянса варшавского договора, боже как люди могут судить не видев этого в живуюю😢

Нет, не был дружен. Как только СССР перестал влиять на страны Варшавского Договора и дал возможность провести свободные выборы, так они сразу стали антикоммунистическими. А эта песня ничего не доказывает, она написана в СССР.

America is a greedy nation and wants a lot of stuff so they invaded almost every country in the middle East and also it invaded the Philippines, half of the Caribbean (Grenada,Cuba in late 20th century and Other Carribbean nations at the end of 19th century and start of 20th century) and also tried invading Vietnam.

@@macazino8087 they invaded Afghanistan and Iraq and other middle East nations that weren't communist. Also Cuba and other Carribbean nations weren't communist at the start of the 19th century. They also bombed Serbia which wasn't communist in the 1990's.

I got hit with the childrens laughter in sunny expanses.

This song is great, it shows the mentality of the USSR and Eastern Europe perfectly. They wanted peace so much they wouldn't think twice before giving their lives for it just so they world can hear their children laughing happily in a sunny valley.

That is, in the minds of those who believed in not just the communist ideology, but in the superiority of the east. The mentality of many, especially in countries with frequent rebellions and where less people were friendly towards the bloc, was kept quiet and unspoken in fear of imprisonment and/or death. In Poland (the obvious example), I’d say the majority of people were unsatisfied, but couldn’t do anything. They knew basically what was really going on but had no way of stopping it and were forced to watch as their country was occupied and integrated.

@@randomguy8647 Funny joke but historically non-correct. The USSR entered Poland on September 17 when Warsaw fell and the government ran away from the country. And the GDR or modern Germany should not be blamed for what it already condemns in its history. This type of joke or utterance is nothing but a reminder to the losers of their defeat. But there is no reminder of what political and economic formation allowed fascism and Nazism to come to power. "Anyone who does not remember his past is doomed to relive it"

@@leukon5348 I think that point of the joke was this: Pact Molotov-Ribbentrop was signed before the war and expect the non-aggresion pact there was also mentioned that poland will be split between germany and USSR. The joke would be historically incorrect if USSR didn't sign the pact and instead of fighting polish would help them. And no, USSR in the 1939 was NOT liberating Poland. Also, different political system doesnt mean that its different country. It doesn't matter if they are nazis, communist or democrat, they are still germans. There is difference between German people and German Reich I just mean it like this: joke is not historically incorect and is not blaming German people, but German Reich.

@@stanislavkos3723 Pact of Molotov-Ribbentrop... there was no plan in the pact to split Poland. The pact is about sharing between the parties of spheres of interest in Eastern Europe in case of "territorial and political restructuring." What left the USSR convenient borders for war. Later, Churchill and Stalin signed The Percentages Agreement with the same terms. The USSR would never help Poland because Poland is the same aggressor. (Teschen conflict and prev war with USSR.) About liberating Poland. What about the territories of Western Ukraine and Belorussia? And what about Brest-Litovsk which the Germans captured and they had to give it cause of pact and after entering the army of the ussr?

@@leukon5348 But, Isn't a pact about spheres of interest overall an aggresive pact against the nations that belong into these spheres? And talking about treaty of Brest-Litosvk: USSR by invading Poland broke the non-aggresion Pact between Poland and USSR from 1932 and Treaty of Versailles wasn't much respected at the time. Also, USSR because of allies dismanteled comitern and percentage agreement was during the war, not in the time of peace. And to the Polish-Soviet war and Tszeszin conflict: Polish-Soviet war wasn't only a Polish aggresion and Tszeszin conflict as well. But also: I think that we should stop. This debate is about a historical (in)correctnes of a simple joke. You agree?
