Perspective From The Dog Days | At The Letters

Quietly, the Blue Jays have baseball’s best pitching staff. So why does this team still feel frustrating? Arden and Ben try to make sense of it all while also weighing in on the Level of Excellence and looking ahead at the impact of some returning players.
This podcast is produced and sound engineered by Christian Ryan, video produced by Nick Andrade and hosted by Ben Nicholson-Smith and Arden Zwelling.

LOE needs to be reserved for those who contributed over a sustained period of time (Tom Cheek, Jose Bautista), who made a major contribution to a World Series winning team (Joe Carter), or who were just stellar players in their own right (Roy Halladay). I absolutely believe that Jerry Howarth should be up there and I'm fairly certain Buck Martinez will be. The next player to go up there will need to be performing extremely well with the team for an extended period of time or be a major contributor to a team that goes on to win a World Series.

If they can find a way to get Vlad to hit, then I think they mean serious business.
