The summoning method really depends on the particular game's theme. Persona 5 : removing the masks = removing facades and showing your true nature Persona 4 : crushing the cards = rejecting destiny Persona 3 : Shooting themselves = Accepting death

The animated versions of personas awakenings are awesome too and they deviate slightly in the way that they are awakened like the post battle or the effect on the user. absolutely love the persona series.
I personally prefer the English version of 'Joker's ' awakening 🤔 not that the Japanese version is bad but I have a soft spot for Xander Mobus who voices ' Joker ' in the English version 😀

Same here, but I think yhe video he is reacting to got released when P5 only just came out in Japan, but yeaa, I'm way too used to the P5 EN Awakening by now.
The Persona series is amazing especially 3 4 and 5 they are my favorite games of all time and definitely recommend playing them

8:06 the reason for the ultra dark awakening is that the entire game is themed around death. Persona 4 is truth and 5 is freedom.

Until recently yes Persona has been mostly Playstation exclusive with a few outliers. Persona 4 Golden has been on steam for a while, the Arena games were available on Xbox and Persona 5 Strikers was available on Switch. The games are completely multiplatform now though with the exception of Persona 1 and 2 which are still restricted to the original playstation or PSP. Also since Persona 2 Eternal Punishment was shown in Japanese, here are the Persona names Maya Amano: Maia Katsuya Suou: Helios Ulala Serizawa: Callipso Baofu: Odysseyus
