The problem with this rumor is that it makes no sense the PS4 is still hot and sells alot plus with PS5 being hard to get it just doesn't make sense plus Atlus is a small company they do questionable things but something like this they card afford to do like what square Enix did with FF7R and if by the small chance Atlus does do this then I need to know where they keep their meth

Thats what im also thinking but they might just release a normal version of person 6 for ps5 and ps4 and then release an expanded version of persona 6 for ps5. but then again they might just release it for ps4 in sometime but its atlus they do questionable things.

Even Sony is holding off discontinuing the PS4 due to supply shortages. Not just the PS5 but the materials to build it. Either way, P6 should be cross-gen until Sony has a more stable supply chain so companies don't risk producing a game that only a small percentage of people will play in the certian future.

Yea literally only reason i would grab a ps5 would be that a persona game is exclusively on ps5

While I'm not concerned if whether or not P6 will be a PS5 exclusive (considering I have one) cutting off PS4 players would be a terrible decision; the install base is HUGE and will stay that way for 2-3 more years. Atlus would be leaving LOTs of money on the table and would likely receive bad press. They should just make P6 a cross gen game, but make the PS5 version the definitive edition.

It still won’t be out for at least 3 years, and by that time more PS5s will be sold. Also, it would be system seller for manny people. Don’t get me wrong, I’m by all means rooting for it to be cross gen, tho I can see it be PS5 only exclusive

I doubt that many people even have a PS5 still. Atlus would just be losing money since no one would be able to play it.

It's probably because they were previously released to dead plataforms, Vita stopped being selled, the same with P4 Arena, there is no more support for Xbox 360
