So true, regarding patience. I graduated in 2021 and I feel like it is taking a long time to get to where I think I should be at this moment but in the grand scheme, it's only been 2 years and I know in the eyes of much more experienced people (like you), only such a short time has passed. Thank you for this piece of wisdom :)

Indeed! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was trying to break into the industry. I STILL feel like that! It's just different nowadays. Those who play the long game win. You got this!

Louis, thank you for tuning in! You are in a good place. Remember to stay curious, work hard, and remember that others are watching you. Go out of your way to do nice and thoughtful things for others; they will remember that kind of stuff. Good luck, and keep it up!

Really needed this video thanks Joel! So I come from the music and art where communities are huge on Instagram. I’m having trouble finding that community on ig since I’m new to post sound. Should I just post my reworks of movie scenes and try to find film students and reach out or should I email a bunch of studios for internships? Thanks again

So happy that you are finding some value in these videos. Huge thank you for tuning in! My suggestion is to do both! You MUST be sharing your work online so that other people can find you. Also, reaching out to facilities for entry level jobs is a great idea too. Good luck!
