Perry Como Live - And I Love You So
Julie on Sesame Street. November 23, 1973
Como's version of the song reached #29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the last of his many popular recordings, dating back to 1943, to reach the Top 40. It also spent one week at #1 on the easy listening chart in 1973. In Britain, the record reached #3 on the UK Singles Chart in 1973 on RCA Records and remained on the chart for 31 weeks (longer than any other of his hits in the UK).

I play this song of Perrrys each night for my wife of 63 years, Taken from me February,RIP my love I hope join you soon. ..
Perry Como could shame a nightingale. He was a very classy guy
I really love the video from 1994 when he was 82.. it was a magical performance when he hit the high notes the crowd was applausing so loud because they were glad because Perry still had it..
There’s no way not to feel something from the words of this of this melancholy song, The lyrics will bring tears to your eyes. The lyrics are sad and will make you feel emotional. The music is pretty and fits the theme - tender and mellow.
Love to see postings like is this as he was a close personel friend. I can tell you this, he was even nicer in person as he seemed on his recordings, Perry we miss you so much. Love Jeff and Linda
Can I hug you, grandpa ?? You how much i miss people like you exist again in this world...your voice..your smile..your warmheart..i can feel it..even i'd never get a chance to meet u in this world...❤️
The term 'easy listening' seems to weaken its impact. This man sings so effortlessly .he could sing the entire constitution and i'll still be entertained
Perry was definitely the best singer of them all.He really got to the heart of the song and made it his own.Everything was so effortless with him.Wonderful performance.Beautiful voice.
To you 17 thumbs down people , you can leave your souls at the door
As much as I revere Don McLean, this is my favorite version, Muppets aside. With this musical treatment, the song slows down enough to allow Perry to savour, caress each word, make love to them. Simply amazing.
Eternal!
Grew up watching him on TV with my parents, listening to his beautiful voice and heartfelt interpretations. This is my absolute favorite of his and means so much more to me now.
Timeless! How blessed was I that my parents listened to wonderful music when I was a boy!
Without a doubt the best singer of all times, he had hits that spanned a 50 year career, my favorite artist, love him
what I love about these singers, Perry, Andy Williams, Shirley Bassey, tony Bennet et al, no apparent energy but such powerful output . absolute class. not like some from today who screech their way through a song. bravo Perry
He sings so effortlessly. So good.
This beautiful song was Perry's last Top 40 hit...from 1973.
Out of all the songs Perry sang this was his favorite. I dont know if I can decide which one is mine but this is certainly one of them! Perry at his best. Love you and miss you Perry, Jeff and Linda.
"And I love you so", Perry's voice is gorgeous.
The last of a very, very long list of hits.
