Permanently Kill Spider Mites on Plants🕷|| How to Identify + Debugging Treatment

Hey everyone! 🌿
Today I'm rescuing my beloved Anthurium from a serious infestation of spider mites! I've intentionally let it get a bad case so that I can share with you my thorough debugging treatment process & how to permanently kill spider mites. Spider mites can do some serious harm to your plants & if not treated can kill your plants. I've tried NUMEROUS methods & have found this process to be the only successful way to permanently kill & get rid of the mites! I hope seeing my treatment from start to finish is helpful! ♡
This process can also be used to treat other plant pests including thrips, aphids, mealybugs, scale, & more!
⚠Repetition is Key❗ Additional pests may hatch from eggs missed from the first treatment so be sure to repeat the process to end the cycle!

+Kreatyve Laydiiee I just got a Blues Blue spruce and I Love it and it is a small one and I noticed it had some web on it.I thought it was just like a spider web so I let it be,because I knew spiders eat other harmful bugs to plants. But now I have noticed a small section on my tree is brown and the needles are shrivled and dried. So I was thinking it might be spider mights.I was gonna try this method I just learned from you,so I guess I would take the paint brush to the branches and the needles??

Thank you for sharing this process. I wish I had knew about this, this past winter as I lost one tropical hibiscus and nearly another one due to spider mites. I also tried Neem oil, but was too late by the time I realised what was happening. Do you use the fungicide sprays in addition to your process?

If you use lemon dish soap it will have linalool and limonene, those two components of lemon oil repell and kill insects. It is actually used in comercial insecticides for plants and dogs (like flea treatments). You can also soak the peels of oranges and lemons in alcohol over night and use that.

I'm not sure why, but this really feels like a spa day for the plant. Hair, mani-pedi, facial, deep tissue massage, the type that you feel like a new person after. But like, for that plant. I never knew I could be jealous of a plant.

This week i saw the smaller bottles on sale for $2.50 plus tax /regular price $3.99 plus tax. So 2 small bottles will be $5.00 plus tax * bett than $10 / or regular price $7.98 plus tax. I have a ton of alleegies bug bites serous problems for me causing a severe reaction and eay too much Histamine in my body. I buy a lot of rubbing alcohol. I feel everything that touches me. I am also like a Canary in a coal mine (poor Canary). So if I react something is ABSOLUTELY present be it bugs or toxins. It's overwhelming and depressing 😪 I sincerly hope you don't suffer the same. I've watched other videos for fungus Gnat care, thinking that if I get an infestation, I'll know what to do. NOT HELPFUL. I've had some Hoyas for years with no problems. Then one day leaves started dropping after turning yellow. I saw a video where someone got spider mites and what she did about it. I used a solution of detergent, alcohol, and water (no oil.) I thought that might be what's wrong with my Hoyas. Now, that I've watched this VERY NECESSARY video, I see that I should just go ahead and do everything you've showed us with ALL of my plants. So, so glad I stumbled upon your video. Now, New Subbie.

Thank you for this video on how to get rid of spider mites! As for the spray bottles, I've been through quite a few and I've learned that they do not do well with added substances like soap or non-dissolvable spices like cinnamon when using basic spray bottles from a Walmart or Dollar Tree because they are so cheaply made. For remedies like this, you'd need a pretty decent pesticide type of spray bottle that's more heavy-duty. These are likely on Amazon, but a hardware store with a gardening section should have them as well.

I like the Pasteurized soil. I'm curious if she's ever been a mycology hobbyist (fungi). Similar techniques are used to clean substrates for mushroom fruiting. An ideal temperature is 140 degrees held for minimum 30 minutes to destroy pathogens and pests while leaving beneficial bacteria intact. I used a "Pot-In-Pot" method, putting soil inside a pot and lowering it a few inches into a larger pot of water that was heating VERY SLOWLY. Latent heat is difficult to predict, so slow heating is necessary not to exceed 170 degrees F... which is TOO HOT. Once peak temperature is reached, remove the heat source and allow the pots to cool naturally overnight.

Great video and excellent attention to detail. It is end of summer (the dry season) in northern Ca. and my Brugmansias are covered. I just came in from spraying them with Dr. Bronner's Hemp-Peppermint pure castle soap. It is pricier than most dish soaps and has a strong "minty" smell but I wash down the plants after a couple hours. The brush is a great idea. I have cattleya scale on some of my orchids and that is the tool that can get into those tight crevices. I think the detergent lets the water penetrate the pests so they drown. The alcohol lets them die happy. I bet a lot of people are cleaning their houseplants during this covid outbreak. Thank you.

Seeing the process really showed me that defeating a spider mite infestation is no easy feat, but is still possible. You just gained a new subscriber! But I would like to ask: do you have an alternative tip for plants with way smaller and fragile leaves? I have a beautiful Yangya bonsai that sadly got infested with these mites 😔 I'd definitely try your mixture but my bonsai's leaves are as small as pinky fingernails and as thin as onion skin, so I think the brush method would tear off a lot of leaves. Do you think hosing it with high-pressure would do? Thank you very much!
