It might make more sense to rebuild this deck to lean more heavily into tempo rather than control. The amount of value you get off Brann is simply insane, as demonstrated by the many games in this video where you were just overflowing with value, so focusing on cheaper minions that allow you to Discover heavy hitters and board clears might be better than running them straight in the deck, so you can survive and draw enough to find Brann. This is all just to say I would love to see more videos of this deck before Brann gets nerfed to "The first Battlecry you play each turn triggers twice."

After the Hall of Fame and Wild rotation deleted my Zoolock, which was my only remotely functioning deck, I was faced with the choice of either buying packs or quitting, and I quit. But I still liked the game, and I liked watching Hearthstone KZreadrs, so I kept up to date and following the game.

It was fun for awhile but inevitably things kept escalating (which is expected in an open format like Wild) so I hit the same wall you did and quit. Overwatch still has me as a F2P player tho, dagnabbit.

So it casts the 1-cost spell, improves the Tendrils, and since the Tendril has been improved, it cast a 2-cost spell on the second trigger of the Battlecry. This is exactly how global-counter effects have worked since the dawn of time. Compare Jade Golems. You always summon a larger and larger man; you never summon a large man of the same size twice.

I think it doesn't need it. It's not like warrior has the most powerful stacking battlecries. For example if you jumped odyn back with brewmaster and play it again it stacked but now it doesn't anymore as far as i know

All you need is Astalor, you'll get 4x 8 mana astalors that all deal 28 damage .

​@@UranoSteamthey don't need a warrior good battlecry. Astalor, the Ox (excavate cards) and Ignis are more than enough to win games, if you want to go turbo greed you get Queen Azshara, the new highlander elemental guy or even the warrior TNT guy involved.

Getting both discovers with Okani is too much.

I was thinking of ways that the enemy warrior could have survived on the last turn of the last game. My conclusion was Steam Cleaner + a winning brawl would have at least prevented lethal (assuming Chump didn't draw into lethal, or discover it somehow with Yogg).

Steam cleaner only affects the deck, so they would still be facing down the 28 from hand.

What I feel about Hearthstone lately is how a lot of ways to win so early in the game with broken interactions. Thaddius, a card I havent seen in ladder, a Warlock "Thaddius'ed" me on turn 5 with Amorphous Slime. Didnt had answer for it at that turn and it snowballed. Fun when you do it and totally decimating when it happens to you. Always makes me think twice before putting money into the game.

Thank god they gave reno decks and especially warrior decks such a card. Reno is already a super weak card by itself and really needed some support. And warrior is a dead class with no good cards at all (you dont see ANY warrior on ladder). Glad they made this card, great design.

Nice version of the deck Chump! I had a different picture of how to play the deck, my deck which i should be uploading later on today runs odyn and boomboss tho'grun. I see in the comments the renathal option, this would be a good idea in a regular control deck, like the one i just hit legend with, and you can see it is very consistent, however in this deck where brann is such a high priority, as we can't stack the deck with duplicates of hard removal cards, and we have to rely on value itself, then having 40 cards makes it much harder to hit brann. I also am using the card which shuffles your hand and draws that number of cards which can help look for brann, and i am not using finley for this, as this has synergy with boomboss as the tnt's will trigger using this card but not finley. Ok i dont want to give all my secrets away :) enjoy the new expansion everyone!

Could potentially add back Daddy Denathrius to this deck since he basically becomes his pre-nerf version.

Some suggestions. Add Pozzig - double the bots for double the fun. Take out steam guardian maybe? Another consideration is Azerite chain gang. Good defensive tool. And with double battlecries will give you a board. You could cut bash maybe for this.

Is there any realistic replacement for Astalor? I started playing in September and I didn't craft it because it's 99% gonna rotate soon and I don't want to waste my dust. That's such an OP wincondition for any deck but it seems expecially broken in this one.

For 28 damage 4 times in a row ? Its kind of OTK. Without it any control deck will beat this. But you can try rely on mill side then with an Double TNT guy and card swapping twice with 4 mana minion and finnley. Its also strong then. And you can copy TNT guy with nagga legendary.

@@petrasb1 I miss the TNT guy as well. Maybe I should just go for some giga value version of the deck, I use ETC twice which gives the 2 excavate minions which both excavate twice for twice the Oxes and twice their battlecries

Tried this deck 6 games, and every single game brann was in my bottom 5 cards man

The game has officially tipped into being pure, unadulterated, absolute cancer. It's been ramping up to be a nightmare of power bloated overvalued cards, but this mini-set pushed it squarely into a goddamn clown fiesta.

Old brann: neutral 4 mana, effect end if killed New brann: for the class thats excel in just tanking, permanent effect, no way to stop it happen

OG Brann is 3 mana but tbh 4 mana wouldn't have been a bad nerf to it, at least while it was in the core set (from what I remember, they removed him along with the rest of LoE, but sb correct me if I'm wrong).

After I got the miniset I went straight to bumping everything there is to get a Brann 40 cards deck and it was already pretty good. Looks like 30 cards is better though! The only suggestion - maybe put Odyn in etc?

i already did and actually before the expansion i had a deck (not uploaded though) where i had different bounce effects to replay it. One game i shuffled 9 in the deck and 3 drew one after the other annihilating my opponents deck and hand, very satisfying for those who are still scarred from tickatus and 4 mana theotar and need some revenge!

Warrior really wanted to cement itself as the absolutely most OP and poorly balanced class in standard. It already was before the mini set, but now it's vomit inducing.

If Brann is not reworked quite quickly or nerfed to 8-10 mana, then with this power level of new cards, seeing him and Reno, we can expect a card like 7 mana soon. Win the game xD

"Fixed" is more like nerfed. They obviously realised that Odyn's Battlecry doubled with Brann would be absurd and ditched that ahead of time.

@@KrivitskyM No, you see, it wasn't a nerf, it was a bugfix, they just were too busy for the last six months and didn't notice that there were multiple videos made about Odyn's stacking ability and Top 100 Legend decks in Standard & Wild that relied on it in lategame to close control mirrors, and those decks just happened to be collateral damage. Dust refunds? What are those?

Whomever approve Bran for warrior needs to go back to balance school. This is the wrost class to get a permanent double battle cry buff, as the class was never balanced around battle cries. Like say Shaman or a Paladin.

Literally all I see it this deck now. I just played 8 no joke EIGHT warriors in a fxckin row. Hearthstone is getting real old real fast for me again. Which sucks because I was really into this game for a while. But trying to outplay "deal 28 damage" then another "deal 28 damage" is just meh.

I assume they are gonna nerf bran to 8 mana if not 9, think they underestimated double battlecry value.

And probably paladin after patch still better then Warrior , if you care about climb

Why does Astalor deal 28 damage? His Battlecry is deal 7, his Manathirst is deal 7. It’s only supposed to double the battlecry making it 21.

If you read the card text, it says "Manathirst (10): Deal 14 instead." So it replaces the Battlecry that deals 7 with a Battlecry that deals 14, and that's doubled to 28. This is how it's always worked, but the initial release text was ambiguous, and it was changed to this wording pretty soon after its release.

thinking about it, first astalor battlecry does 14, second only does 7 despite the manathirst text - so battlecries ignore manathirst text is what I learned today after playing a similar deck.

Yeah lets remove Brann itss too op…. But how about we bring him back for only one class and even more op :D
