For more information, visit: www.miltenyibiotec.com/applic... The immune landscape in the tumor microenvironment (TME) is known to impact therapy success. In this webinar, James Arnold, PhD presents the influence of LYVE-1+ tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) on T cell infiltration into tumors. Arnold hereby uses multi-angle approaches combining imaging and cellular assays to demonstrate how IL-6 polarization forms this subset, how these cells communicate in multicellular nest structures, as well as their resulting functionality in the TME.
The tumor microenvironment (TME) possesses complex cellular and structural features. Understanding the interactions that occur between the different components within the TME are essential for identifying mechanisms that drive cancer development and therapy escape, and for establishing strategies to tackle these. Miltenyi Biotec developed various workflows for TME analysis even from limited sample material. These tools get you a 360° view - from characterizing single cells to visualizing their natural spatial context. They help you identify cell interactions within the TME and understand resulting phenotypes to unravel tumor complexity.
