In the Periphery community it is known as the Zyglrox tuning, but in the wider guitar community I have heard it referred to as Super Drop G. This is because Drop G is actually A Standard with the 6th string dropped to G, whereas this tuning is D Standard with the 6th dropped to G. Some bands like Architects and Pantera have at least one song in this tuning, Hope this helps.
