Periodic paralysis violent abdominal spasms

Sit-ups are for pussies.
I started getting spasms in general about 8 years ago, and they were a lot worse when I first started getting them. After a few years, they settled down to the level they're at now and haven't really changed much since then. I'm hoping my neurologist will be able to diagnose and treat the underlying problem, but really, the spasms themselves are the least of my problems. They just make for much more dramatic videos than the really crippling things like generalised muscle weakness and cognitive dysfunction.
The abdominal spasms don't hurt at all. Abs are very forgiving muscles and don't get injured easily.

I hope Peter is still with us. I believe this is a form of Dystonia. Abdominal spasticity and can be alleviated with ultrasound guided botulinum injections.

I used to get mild ones every once in awhile in bed at night, but after a bad reaction to generic Paxil I had really violent convulsions like yours non-stop for almost a month. They're back to being pretty mild but now I get them at least a few dozen times a day. The neurologist I saw figured it's a reaction to anxiety but I know it's not.

Abe Coulter I have been getting these a lot on the upper left side of my stomach (on top of my rib) and it’s the worse. Feels like tiny bombs are going of at once and it’s scary. Btw, any update on your spasm? Doctor said I either lack magnesium, potassium or calcium.

I have sooooo many questions… I would love to converse with you. I was doing research on my sleep paralysis and wound up here for some reason.... I understand this has NOTHING to do with sleep paralysis, but I can’t help that I am now curious about you. This looks similar to something I studied in one of my medical nutrition therapy classes during my undergrad.

Both of you guys seem to know something, is it lack of magnesium, potassium or calcium that’s causing this? Seeking other answers, doc said it’s one these reasons but I’m scared that he might be confusing this with something else.

I recognise everything in this video, but not the vomiting that Wikepedia lists and my tests results discounted epileptiform stuff.

Try Somatisation Disorder. That's what I'm being told and I really recognise what this guy is going through, in detail. It isn't well understood, it's neurological and diagnosed by neurologists, but stress is a big factor. Information ranges from opinionated intolerance, even from professionals on professional websites, to more detailed, making it clear it is real, not in the head, but not well understood. Wikipedia currently says it is a "mental disorder" which is incorrect. The following website makes that clear. psychcentral.com/disorders/somatization-disorder-symptoms/
