The hands are an aspi thing. It’s called stimming. It’s my brain communicating with myself trying to get clear communication between my perfume brain and my logical brain. Interesting how the brain works. A lot of what I do is very subconscious

Very nice. I think both of them are the most niche fragrance I do. So give yourself time to adjust to the amount of naturals in it. Slut I would give a good 2 hours to let it develop on the skin .

@@AaronTerenceHughes slut has been on my skin now for 10 minutes. The citruses are morphing into a peppery note with rose pulsating faintly in the distance. How beautiful it is. I cannot wait to smell its development on my girlfriend and I during an intimate encounter. I knew I'd love this♡

Thanks, for your professional reviews Aaron and I'm totally with you on not liking Oud Satin. I literally had to wash my hand after sampling it, since I was getting a headache from the sweet rose and powdery smell.

Great professional set up 👌 Even though not your personal style you still appreciate other perfumers technical abilities. 👏

My favorite MFK is Absolue Pour le Matin. What Francis is able to do within a tight formulation, with the layers and contrast is impressive imo. I'ld love to see what he could do with a bigger, 3-4 main ideas working together, or how they transition from idea to idea, kind of perfume. I think that would be mind blowing considering how he can add "bells and whistles" to an idea/accord

Yah, I prefer this one too, Satin Mood on me smells like a grandma's makeup for some reason, I just cant wear that one (too bad because it lasts about 18hrs on me). Thanks for another great professional review, Aaron. Looking forward to the next one 👍

Also too strong to the point of nauseating. Satin Mood longevity is just too long, i wonder how long the extrait version will last. While Oud edp is just beautiful.

I was going to try this but Satin Mood and Silk mood really put me off. Seeing as it's summer, do you plan on reviewing Elysium by Roja?

Aaron. Thank you for the review, very informative. For those that like oud to be metallic, camphoric projection bombs, dirty, earthy soil-ish, and long lasting what can your recommend? Highly recommend you review Rouge Perfumery Mousse Illuminee. This will challenge you the Perfumer doesn't want to comply with regulations. The scent is amazing.

I liked this one at the first pop as well, but as it dried down on my skin it just turned into smelling like a citronella candle. It literally just smelled like a bunch of chemicals with some Rose sprinkled in there. I have really enjoyed their gentle fluidity silver and their baccarat rouge 540 extrait, but almost everything else has been very screechy and chemically for my tastes. I have also really enjoyed your work, and think my nose leans more towards naturals, and thus, I think sometimes this house is problematic for me. But I'm going to keep trying them and see if it ever gets better. :-) I just haven't enjoyed it so far except for the ones mentioned above. Loved the review thank you! :-)

Nice review👍👍. I like dry and herbaceous perfume. Especially after I own some skanky oud perfumes, The clean, easy to wear quality of MFK Oud becomes my recent favourite.

Interesting aaron! Yet I recently purchased oud Cambodia by rasasi for a friend Mr gk , it cost £200 for 50ml, its an attar. Its literally beautiful. So silky and smooth with a slight fruit involved, maybe raspberry, I sprayed 3 sprays on my chest, when I walked through our door at home my missus said she smells it instantly. Beautiful stuff for the money. Lovely. Xxx

Thoughts on Gunpowder in a fragrance? I am contemplating buying Xerjoff The Don and has gunpowder in it, seems strange lol

Oud Satin Mood "oud that little girls would wear". 😅 I really enjoy Grand Soir from the house. I haven't smelled Oud. I wasn't a fan of Oud Satin Mood or Silk Mood.

Very fine review,, I do own the extrait version of this I like it it’s not bad,,aroma from heaven

I gave my wife Oud (the regular EDP), Baccarat Rouge (EDP plus Extrait, but I am using the Extrait only) and A la Rose. Her favorite is Oud (she loves it) followed by A la Rose and then Baccarat EDP. But right now we still have winter in Germany, so A la Rose will become much more interesting in spring.

I sampled this extensively over the week--I completely understand now what you mean by a "dry" formulation, with a "tinny" background. It just felt too clean to me--almost like I was using very high-class laundry softener. As I'm typing this you just said "surfactant" and talked about the soapiness--I totally get all of that and now whenever you say "dry" "tinny" or "shampoo" I'd understand exactly what you mean. Thanks, learned a lot from this review. And you are right, this lasts forever.

Bortnikoff uses real animal by products so I don’t think Aaron would do any videos on his work.

I recently bought Aaron Terence hughes oud and its amazing. I love the patchouli in it and that dense base makes my head buzz in joy. I have many ouds such as oud for greatness by intio and i recently layered it over arraons to make the intio more dense. Although i love wearing Aarons ouds on it own. I want try other ouds from Aaron.

I am obsessed with this perfume. BUT it does not last on me at all. WHY?

Love your vieuw on this fragrance and totally agree with you, i have the 10ml Oud Sample's box and the Sample's box for the men scents, and i personally like his style of perfumery, but aswell totally agree and understand where you're coming from. (Well that is thanks to you for teaching me for about a lil 2 years now) i prefer your OUD fragrance over MFK Oud but also love his Style with florals and woodsy fragrances, but then again your Amber fragrance is way better then MFK Grand Soir imo. Thank you Aaron for teaching us! I never deeply took a look in DNA's of fragrances/brands/perfumers but now i completely understand it better!

The extrait version of this is different from the eau de parfum they don't smell like the same fragrance it smells more like a chocolatey oud in the extrait version don't know why that is

Hello Aaron, in your reviews I noticed that you like affortable fragrances which smell great and dislike overpriced fragrances. And, you know a lot about Oud in fragrances and use it a lot in your fragrances. and you say that some of them only use tiny amounts, which is ok - if they are not overpriced. therefore, I would love to know your opinion about 'Oud Vanille' and 'Oud Touch' by the house of Franck Oliver. they are like brother and sister, and are about 25 pounds, so, aparently no real Oud in them. but, they are smelling good. I would love to know your opinion about these. thanks for reading.

Yes. But I am now in a studio with better sound and lighting. I also have a structure to stick to that has taken a year to develop.

Am I the only one on this planet who don't dig MDK Oud?! My friends all talking MFK Oud the best, magnificent so I blind bought it. Sniff .... It's granny scent! Maybe it's smell I must unpack don't know. This is not the first time I give up just for later the same fragrance become my fav one. Ganymede extrait came,bought it blind,sell it 3 days after. 5 months later tried it again and was blown away! Now it's among my top 5 on my shelf. Don't know what to do!

You should try Oud Imperial by Perris Monte Carlo. It is 100% real oud for a good price.

Perros Monte Carlo is very natural with their fragrances. No advanced perfume formulas, but definitely good ingredients. Haven’t tried their Oud, but the rose, lavender, and tuberose perfumes are spot on.

This smells way better than Satin Oud but for some reason, it doesn't smell good on me 😭 It smells almost like a melon or honey dew on me lol
