I blind bought Cookiecrunch, because I could get it at a fraction of the retail price. I got the same experience: opens like cleaner and I was utterly disappointed. But I gave it a wear and not long after it dried down to everything listed in terms of notes. I have worn it a couple of times since, and I must admit: I am loving it. The cleaner smell changed into the scent of Limoncello and the dry-down is exactly like a luxurous lemon cookie you can get at a French patisserie. I think you shouldn't throw out the decant and revisit it later on. That's what I do with the decants I dislike: I just put them in a 'discard' jar. and circle back, because so often it happens I do not like a perfume, and then a year later I see it in a different light. I also like to keep them for reference.

Yes, Unknown Pleasures is really divine. And on the more affordable end for what it is. Yay! 🎉🎉🎉

How does the lemon in Bake compare to Unknown Pleasures? I have the latter and ❤ it. Is Bake lighter and brighter? Trying to decide about a decant or oil from Dapper 🤔

I legit bought my first lemon gourmand today! The new 2023 'Devotion' by D&G. OMG!! The bottle is gorgeous and I can't believe how much I love the candied lemon scent on the skin. First lemon fragrance that doesn't smell like dishwashing liquid to my nose.

I love Lemon Tart and I layer it with Lemon Pound Cake from Bathtime Confections. I'm on my second bottle, which is very unusual for me, since I have so many fragrances, but I find it addicting. However, I really didn't pay attention to the longevity of the citrus note, and I will do so. Right now, I have Akro Bake on my right hand (I have a decant). I have the Dapper version on my left, and I do think I prefer the Dapper version. It is very close to the OG. but it seems longer lasting and more gourmand. Both are lovely, but I don't feel the need for the OG. Like you, I have a large collection and I don't push clone houses, but I have to say that Dapper is an incredible house. Certainly worth a try, even if you are curious about a fragrance. I do own and love your other lemon gourmands (with the exceptionof Cookiecrunch). Lemon certainly seems to be having a moment in the fragrance community. Great review, as always!

I love gourmonds and lemons but something in the Akro Bake went animalic or musty in the dry down on me. Do you notice that with any of yours? It's probably my body chemistry but I am desperate to try one that doesn't, if you have any recommendations.😉

I love Unknown Pleasures, it was a blindbuy and one of the best buys ever.

Akro Bake is so good in the opening. I want the lemon to last too though, and it definitely doesn't. Have you tried Afternoon Swim? That's a juicy, delicious fragrance opening, best citrus opening I've ever found. I've tried them all except Unknown Pleasures. I've had that one on my list for years to try ( have hundreds on a list, lol, no regrets!!), maybe I'll bump it up higher. It's hard to find a great lemon.

It kinda sucks when a fragrance has a really appealing alluring name but then when it goes on skin, it dies a death :)

Hiiii Jackie! 💖 I was surprised to retry Cookiecrunch and enjoyed it. Not sure I want a bottle - it's soft an subtle but I did enjoy it.

To me Kerosene smelt like a lemon candle that’s almost done. It was sharp lemon at the top and almost a burning wick smell throughout the whole wear. Couldn’t even finish a sample! I then tried Bake and it’s like Kerosene, but dialled down. No burning candle smell, but I agree that it dries down a nice vanilla. I love and own Lira. Agree on the performance, unfortunately. Waiting for Love and Crime to come back in stock so I can complete the lemon gourmand tasting session 😅 I’ve also heard that Lolitaland falls into this category, might sample it too

Kerosene unknown pleasures had a note of engine exhaust I couldn’t get past. I had to sell it.

I wore Blend Oud Sana yesterday. It’s right in this same vibe of citrus gourmand deliciousness. It’s super similar to Lira/Love & Crime but better performance than Lira. It’s so good!

Devotion is lemon-y, and replica under the lemon tree is lovely. Lira is lemon cheesecake. Love and crime I’m not sure how I feel about it but I have FB and yes lemony. Lemon tart I mix with devotion cause something is off for me and I think I just don’t like butter in my scents. ❤

I had the same experience with Bake. Great lemon scent at first, then just left with the vanilla 😕

Yeah I was sad it didn’t work out for me

I bought lira and I couldn't smell it...until I started spraying it at the back of my neck/under the ears instead of my wrists/in the front of the neck!! Even more if you add some lotion there before spraying. Before I couldn't smell it after 1hour...now I smell it 8hours long. Highly suggest trying this hack! I also ordered an unknown pleasures decant, can't wait to smell it ❤ Thanks for this video, I love citrus gourmands

o i have been avoiding lemon all summer because most lemons smell like pledge and pinesol. i think i am one of those whose nose picks up cleaning supplies always. its probably because i am always cleaning even sometimes at my job and the cleaning products here smell really nice so lemon always smells like cleaners to me. ive been craving lemon gourmands but they may not work for me ive been craving lemon deserts to get my fix! I am intrigued by bake but not sure if i will like the full zest. I have lira but dont like it much i get lavender and in cold weather more lavender comes out. i want to try HOS H but dont want to blind buy it. I had Ex idolo last year but it gave me hives so i sold it. its the only perfume besides Sol de Janiero that gave me an allergic reaction. I want to try Unknown Pleasures if its sweet

I wonder how the lemon in Bake compares to Unknown Pleasures 🤔 Anyone have both? Sounds like Bake is more bright and tangy? Unknown Pleasures is one of my favorites for sure.
