    Thank you so much sir. It was a very simple yet highly informative representation to use t-test.

    Can one perform a t-test if the SD in not equal between groups tested? I’ve noticed that the p value for the F test to compare variances in your example is statistically significant. I’ve encountered this problem while analyzing my results and I’m not sure if I can use a test that has an assumption of equal SD. Thank you for a nice presentation

    Thanks One question, My "P value summary" is ***, but "F test to compare variances" " P value summary" is shown as ns. What does that mean? Please reply this. Thanks

    What does "These two values represent an N of eight to study where we have produced eight replicates of the experimental outcome" mean?

    we use 2 groups to perform t test but here there are more than 2 columns , why?_

  • @DoryVideo

    @DoryVideo

    4 жыл бұрын

    A t test compares two columns of data, and the test you are undertaking should be hypothesis-led, in other words you should have a question of your data that requires the comparison of two groups. You should not run multiple t-tests if you have more then two groups, for this you need to run an ANOVA.

    shouldn't you put *** based on the results of your t-test? In the video you only put one * level of significance in the figure.

  • @DoryVideo

    @DoryVideo

    4 жыл бұрын

    That’s not always the case, it depends what you set your alpha to, if you set alpha to 0.05 at the start any p value lower than 0.05 is significant, irrespective of how small it is.

    @@DoryVideo Thank you so much for answering!!! Sorry, in your video results from Graph Pad, the p-value summary I believe is "***", highly significant (*** P ≤ 0.001), but in your graphic you only include one * (* P ≤ 0.05). Perhaps I am misunderstanding something.

    Decide what the independent and dependent variables are and you should be able to work out what you need to plot from that.
