Well said, Kpop isn't just about the music and the song, it is a whole performance. I think Jungkook dances equally as well as the professional dancers. Every aspect of him feels and responds to the music.

I know they are all professional dancers but you can feel the commitment from JungKook's dancing from his fingers to his toes.

If you watch his early BTS dance practice videos he used to dance in Timberlands. In BTS he didn't have enough opportunities to showcase his vocal abilities as the lines are divided between members. The highs and lows were usually done by others. He mainly did harmonizing and adlibs. etc and of course chorus here he gets to sing the whole song.

Idk why but i tend to forget just HOW GOOD of a dancer Jungkook is. Everyone knows that he's an all-rounder but i don't think his dancing gets praised enough. Standing Next To You was a perfect reminder of that 💜

Jeff, I was so happy to find your channel. I am 76 and found BTS at the 2017 AMA doing DNA. I was struck immediately and spent a week day and night learning who was who and catching up on them. I am Canadian born in Toronto and moved when I was 3 or 4 th the US. Anyway, I am all about the song (I have to like the music) but it has to be in combination with amazing dancing. The reason I love BTS and Taeyang of Big bang is because of these two elements. I commented on your reaction to Jimin. I love him because of his classical training. He is so elegant and flexible. None of the others can replicate that. Jungkook is the smooth energizer of the group. I love his choices in music the most and His powerful dancing. Also he is a workout maniac and has about 7% body fat. Pure slim muscle. Anyway, it is funny that in my lifetime I discovered the Beatles and Was immediately sucked in. I saw them live on the Ed Sullivan show at the studio in NYC. 36:25 Since then *NSYNC, Justin Timberlake, Usher and now BTS have been my passions. I have been to 8 BTS concerts, 1 Suga concert and the Billboards to cheer them on. I love your descriptions of their dance. Music without dance is just incomplete for me. Thank you.

I know you posted this comment a while ago, but I have to say, I love what you're saying here. I'm older too (and also from Toronto) and I think the younger people who normally make up the audiences for BTS and other k-pop groups just don't know that this stuff is reaching far and wide across the ages.

oh Jeff thank u, there was no boring moment int his 40 minutes reaction vid of urs I enjoyed every minute and I so appreciate that part when u emphasized about the dancers plight and significance and that Kpop and JK's debut and recent songs and performances highlight their talent and skills that are often shadowed by he artist and are rarely recognised and appreciated. Aside fr JK's aim for this album to make him develop and hone his vocal versatility and musicality, I am as well very grateful of the golden team dancers bec they are top notch in their field and they sure will challenge JK to become even more powerful and skilled in dance and performances... thank u again Jeff learned a lot fr u as usual

Yes, watched til the end. I love reviews from a dancers point of view, but also your appreciation of his vocals. Even Yoongi on Suchwita episode 21 told Jung Kook he felt he leveled up a couple levels recently. I would agree, even though I never thought it possible. There is definitely a more confident, mature Jung Kook appearing in front of our eyes these days. Wooh! It's hot in here now. lol

I actually liked the "PODCAST" (LOL) part of this video. Because YOU ARE a performer, You know to appreciate the other dancers, and I think that I never really thought about it like that, I mean, of course, I KNEW that, but I didn't think about it too much, that dancers would prefer working/performing with K-Pop artists/Idols, rather than with Western artists. Most of Western artists "Just" sing, and add dancers as a form of "Decoration" and fun/light thing to add to their performance, to enhance their own stage, but It's never too complicated, cause they're not dancers themselves so they can't really join them, they won't look as good, so they won't do that. And I'm not saying that as a Diss to Western music because obviously, that's one of the only things that I've listened to before I got into K-Pop. There are some really amazing and talented singers out there, they're just not dancers... With K-Pop though, Dancers ARE one of the main things on stage, they make the performance, and the bigger/harder it is, the bigger/harder they go, the better, cause the Idols dance just as well as they can dance. The dancers can really shine and show off their own talent cause they don't take away from the artists, they add to them. K-Pop, Of Course, is all about the music, BUT It's only one aspect, that's why they train for so many years, that's what makes K-Pop, K-Pop. Their ability to perform. They're not "Just" Singers or rappers, They're also dancers. Idols train for hours and hours in many different styles of dancing. That makes it an amazing place for "Back-up" dancers, cause they're not "Back-Ups", they're front and center together with the artists, and the more they show off their talents and abilities, the more the artists love and appreciate them, cause they worked, and still working, very hard on their own dancing abilities. I think that they appreciate each other very much on a professional and personal level, that Western artists, the majority of them at least, won't understand.

I do feel bad for not knowing more about them and most about Brian don't BTS liking or doing his covers. So thanks! Quick question so none of the back up dancers are from the same team or company? Did they really pull them from all over? Hopefully in his documentary he'll go in to depth of who he chose to be part of the team as well. Oh wow. I didn't realized the live band were seasoned. Gosh would like to hear their POV along with the back up singers about working with JK as well.

i think this is more of an avengers kinda situation for the dancers. like for example brian is from jam republic agency and ian is young lions crew (as per their ig accounts). that’s why this is really iconic cause it’s the best of the best coming together. for the band, i believe anyone bts works with in LA are most likely talents that have worked with other hollywood celebs. if anyone else wanna add, feel free! 😊

He never revealed that he smokes, a stalker stalked him and filmed him without his knowledge, so it's not like he voluntarily wanted to show that to people, and it's for that reason out of respect ARMYS don't mention it, or try to prevent people from mentioning it, not because it's wrong or because we don't condone it, but because he should be able to tell us himself without a crazy person filming him behind bushes. Also, He probably doesn't smoke often, its most likely a every once in a while type thing, Jungkook is VERY protective over his voice and he is heavily self-critical as well as takes his craft seriously, he also has a private health doctor as well as a trainer he visits frequently so he knows his body and his limits really well, he'd never sacrafice his craft, so he most likely does it every few months or maybe even like just 2-3 times a year
