PERFORMANCE and TOP SPEED of a Stryker LX 380 paired with a Mercury 9.9hp
Today we are at Sakinaw Lake @ Sunshine Coast in beautiful British Columbia testing out the performance on a Stryker LX 380 paired with a Mercury 9.9hp MH (manual start). We have 2 people plus a large dog (red golden retriever) Cali weighing in at 80lbs, so basically 3 people, plus a full tank of gas. With an inflatable boat, you want evenly distribute the weight for maximum performance. We had 2 adults on either side of the boat and our dog Cali was in the bow. We had no problems getting up on step as well we reached top speeds of 26km/hr.

Excellent video - Thanks
What did you have the motor trimmed at for this little demonstration?
How do these boats handle in some chop? What size waves can it ride out?
I have a question. Did you drill the transom when installing this engine? Did you just stick it on "butterflies" as standard. Thank you in advance for your answer.
Great. Would you say that a 9.9 would be ok for the lx 360?
How "open" did you have the throttle in order to plane with the 9.9hp?
Must be fun for dog to be that low to the water
Does the new hull design help the 380 get on step with a 9.9? I plan on running a new Merc 9.9 from last year and my old V-hull. I don’t want to have to register the boat and some of my favourite lakes have a 10hp restriction.
Great. Would you say that a 9.9 would be ok for the lx 360?
