I really like the train part, but it would have been funnier if it derailed and fell out of the sky, forcing you to use your acquired knowledge of pearls to survive the fall (or just for the funny)

I was thinking the same thing! Making a custom slugcat just to explain the hymn pearl is a great idea, since he doesn't have it in any pre-Riv campaigns, it just appears

Considering alternate universes are canon to RW, anything can be canon to it if you want it to. I mean technically that's not how multiverse actually works but it's statistically likely, if there are infinite universes, for every possible universe to exist. So somewhere in the RW multiverse, there's probably a pearlcat who gave him his pearl, unless the RW multiverse is finite.

you can give him generic gray pearls as arti, and one of the dialogue options is the pearl being the hymn one! so i guess arti could have given it to him? and it not appearing in post-arti pre-riv campaigns could be because he just doesn't have a reason to listen to it

Hey, opsian, white pearls can be turned into super explosive spears, with no self damage. Normal whites, not the one pebbles gives you.

I like the lore potential of this. Could Pearlcat come from a place so developed that this particular world is child’s play? Are the original slugcats it’s ancestors? Why does wander the way it does? I’m just GRAAAAAAAAAA

I have a little challenge for you. Try getting every pearl in the game with this guy, of course with an increased pearl limit so you can store them all. By the end of the challenge you should have 30 colored pearls, including the ones you got in the tutorial area. Fair warning if you do this challenge though, there are a bunch of light pinkish pearls around that are just slightly different colored normal pearls, you can tell if it's one of these if the symbol of it matches the symbol of normal pearls (each pearl has a symbol next to it in the little pearl interface thing). Speaking of normal pearls, you can make pearl spears out of them, which are like one time use explosive spears that only blow up if they actually hit and deal damage to something. There's also a setting in the config that lets you have a back spear like Hunter, although the pups use that same spot when you give them uppies so it might not be a very useful setting to you.

2:22 i also had a glitch but diferent. Where it would connect to the entrance of the chieftain scav room and would be a bucle where I couldn’t get out of that general zone of the map, when I checked the map through the dev tools I saw it was interconnected but also connected to the other room, the thing is that the second room with the toll and the hallway would priorize itself over the another room and make a bucle so I couldn’t get out.

I had just grabbed rain world on switch because if I like a game I’ll grab a port of it anyways. And seeing some of the mods like this being recommended (I didn’t watch for a while but my curiosity kicked in and you were on my front page) I’m gonna get it on PC now

2:21 there is another glich i found out myself, if you have jolly co-op enabled the pipe would connect to the other end (aka the exit) and pretty much softlock you in the room

you can give you slugpup commands to a make it sit all you have to do is hold down and jump to make it stay in that spot and they will stay there to make them not sit anymore just hold up and jump and it will follow you

I had that issue and fixed it, you gotta install merge fix and have it below the more slugcats expansion and pearlcat, apply it then disable and re-enable pearlcat and it should fix it, I suggest having merge fix be the first mod in the load order though just in case. (Source: bugs discussion on the pearlcat mod page, don't think KZread will let me link it though)
