Yes, he probably competes Rengoku as between the two he's probably one of the best male side characters in the series

When I first read Demon Slayer, I had no idea that Tengen's 3 wives were supposed to mirror our 3 main boys.

Definitely one of their more stand out designs, very much their style

The reason I like Tengen the most is actually his interactions with other characters, he can be both respectable and mature, but he also falls into inoskue and zenitsu’s shenanigans

Tengen was what got me into demon slayer. I went to Kauai with my family and went to the only anime store there and they had a figure of him, he’s so striking and cool and he lived up to it when I finally watched the show.

I could imagine Tengen wanting to have a fun exhibition match with Kratos and his Blades of Chaos the moment Tengen comes across him. Then be utterly impressed with Kratos's level of experience and technique with them.

His voice actor actually went on to become Helck this season! That's another character that deserves a deep dive! Konishi is a very talented voice actor!

His backstory, remember? Something about him getting scammed into marrying a girl and thus inheriting a shit ton of debt to his name before he was saved and taken in by his teacher. At least, that's what I think it was.
