Great video! I find it fascinating how these stress rules vary from language to language. My wife's first language is Tagalog (Filipino), and in that language, the stress is almost always on the middle or ending syllable, regardless of if the word is a noun, verb, etc. I think this may be why some native English speakers think that some foreign languages always sound angry, rude, or even whiny.
It was helpfully
Excellent lesson😊Thank you!!!
Very efficient lesson, as always.
Thank you for this interesting video, I love hearing your accent.
Very useful video ❤❤.
Oh dear, dear, what did you do to me... I just logged in and started watching you, bingo, and in next to no time that you got me into a trance state within seconds of your vide, but you got out of yourself from it pretty quickly , whereas I am still trapped and hypnotized, thereby couldn't watch the rest of your video either ... 😢😂😂 Oh I am scared to bits now and wonder whether I will be trapped in it forever which will also deprive my fabulous weekend as well ... 😮😢😂 Have a fabulous weekend to my beautiful teacher.. Hugs.xoxoxo Gams ❤️

Great rules! I do know all the words, so the test wasn't a challenge, but it was great to discover the rule!

Very helpful sabrah
Thank you so much for helpping us. Have a nice weekend ☺👍
For the words in al, cy, ty, phy, gy ... like geoLOgical, deMOcracy, availaBIlity, phoTOgraphy or geOlogy for example, I noticed something ma belle. Instead of saying that the accent is either on the second or third or even fourth syllable depending if the word is four or five or six syllables , In fact the stress is always on the 3rd syllable from the end, on the ANTEPENULTIMATE syllable basically. Now, I'll concede that it is only another way of saying it ;-) Kisses 😘🌹

Hahah yes another way of saying it but maybe your way is more succinct! Although that word might be a bit confusing for some people. Don’t worry I have some more new videos coming out soon - new new NEW! 😂😉

@@LoveEnglishwithLeilaSabrah Yes, I am with you on this, not so easy indeed ;-) in fact, 'before the second-to-last'. The latin roots help here: 'ante' = before / 'pen' from 'paene' = almost / 'ultimate' from 'ultimus' = last, ultimate 👌 Aww... Hurray Yeepee Yay! This is the best news I've heard for long my sweetie. You know, I've been missing you so much! I've made up for your absence a little with Anna and Katharine, I admit, and I like them a lot too, but I have to say it never quite has the same flavor because you're still my favorite Sabrah. I'm so happy to hear that and I look forward to your new material with great impatience. 🤗 Love, gros bisous 😘🥰😍🌹❤🙏

Is laila having a long holiday? That takes the McVitie's! Is she having a Turkish ? Tell her to pack it in prompt and get back to grindstone. I bet you she is sucking up the sun in sunny Portugal. It's alright for some, innit? We feel sorry for ya Sabrah.

I am worried about YOU . Leila needs to pull her weight on. I won't be surprised if her arse was printed on sofa for being a couch potato 🤔
