Can you partially roll the roll-top and still close it with the buckle for more storage? And for the laptop compartment, can you fit a thick 15.6 in laptop?

Yes, but only 1 to 2 inches of extra storage . 15.6 is a yes for the laptop sleeve compartment. 17 inch only fits in the regular bag space.

How would it hold up in heavy rain you reckon? I'm interested in these bags but where I live the rain can get pretty strong at times and if I'm carrying a laptop, I have to be sure it will be safe. Great review btw

Thanks for the comment Gav. This bag definitely holds up better than many others I've reviewed on the channel. For its price, the Christopher better deliver with the warer resistant claims - which it does. the inner compartments are protected from the heavy rain - just make sure that the bag is closed and no water can seap in the top roll on part. 18" is too wide for the laptop compartment -- it could fit in the general bag space, yes

Hi Nix. The specifications are in their website. The bag can easily fit a 14" laptop, but struggles to fit a thick 15.7" laptop in the sleeve.
