Even just pushing switch will bring new levels of awareness to your posture and how open or closed you are riding

Some tricks are actually easier in switch stance for some people, as example my sw front shuv is literally better than my sw ollie

I'm 38 years old and I'm skating since recently, as a child I always moved on skateboard but I left it and now I have taken it up again, thanks for your videos I'm improving my olie, for now I do it a lot standing still and moving I go to the ground every 5 of 10 but I've already managed to do it twice hahahahahaha, Thanks for your work!

switch flip! ok, but to be honest were gonna be uploading SOMUCH beginner content next month that i feel like if you follow it in your switch progression it will translate to switch flips just from sheer feel and knowledge from the beginner content

What’s your take on Rodney Mullen’s idea of being “stanceless”? Thanks for another great lesson

Rodney taught me how to skate switch when I was 9 years old so I am a huge fan of it

@@SKATEiQ That’s incredible! I remember he mentioned you in his Berrics interview. I was more wondering (if you don’t mind and thanks for being so active in community/comments)…. Nuances of being “stance-less” at your high level.

@@Yodakaycool it’s mostly about stability. You’re always gonna have a dominant side. The argument that it looks better to skate facing backwards falls apart when you want to do legitimate switch tricks, which very few people do. So yes, a switch heel flip might be steezy but if you wanted to do a switch kickflip backside 5 good luck with that argument

I agree I just think you learn less when practicing like that. But in reality when you want to actually do a trick on film or somethin face however you want

I consider it to be a bad habit. I understand it’s stylish but I see a lot of kids trying it that way and it definitely affects their progress in a bad way. Makes them think the right way is the hard way. I think learning the trick & when it comes to sw is to get the best sw Ollie first, master it properly. Simple trick done sw can be styled out after learning it but learning it that way from the start isn’t beneficial
