Where did you get pvc trim with a slimmed design? I only find square pvc. Love what you’ve found.

Pretty sure I got it at Lowes

Wow perfect corner on my restroom. Same corner and everything, but molding it rotted and so is the wall. Gaping hole about 4 inches high. Do I saw that section out and replace it with plywood or is there more to it?

I'd figure out first where the water is coming from and fix that. Is all the structure in the wall rotted out? Studs? Bottom plate?

I just purchased about 20 PVC Baseboards for my basement remodel. I'm glad I saw your video...I wasn't sure if I should use my nail gun to attach to the wall, or glue them (guy at Menards told me to use glue). Using glue didn't sit right with me...I've always nailed trim to the wall. I have 16g 2" nails...does that sound about right? Do you still caulk PVC up on top?
@LewisRenovation
4 жыл бұрын
You could always glue and nail. 2" 16g are fine. 15g nails would be even better but I don't have that nail gun either. I caulk the top with Dynaflex 230. Silicone would be great in a basement if yours is like the dungeon i once had in Norwich CT but is probably not worth all the extra work. Good luck!

so I have a wall in old house that isn't exactly plumb, 45 degree two pieces of trim on an outside corner, still have a small gap...anything i can use to fill that gap? not going to paint trim in the end..first time using pvc material...none of this house has ever been level or plumb.

Drydex is rated for outdoors and indoors. I think it would work on a PVC miter joint as long as the gap isn't too big

will let you know, its a very small gap, with wood, I could just tap the corners to cover or use some colored wood putty wipe on and off...old trimmers tricks i always call them.....ty

You glued it first to show how east it is and then didn’t use those pieces. You just pieced it together and nailed them. Confusing

Sorry it's confusing. At 1:57, you can see that I'm nailing on the two pieces that are already glued together
