Hey Logan nice potato harvest. Question does your parents ever take a vacation? Will the potatoes still store if you clean them? I thought you leave the dirt on them. Get your Dad a new cell phone holder 🤠 The farm looks so green and lush. Everything here is tan and crisp/dead. God bless your family.

They do in the winter, and sometimes in the spring. Summer vacations are hard due to all of our work. The potatoes like to be stored dirty, if we wash them it adds moisture into the potato. This could eventually make bacteria or fungus grow on the potato when it is being stored which then will make it rot. Great question though!! And we actually just got dad a new phone so his new holder should be here soon too, God bless you all down there in Texas. I’m wishing you all the best.

Enjoyed this video. I live in a subdivision & the deer eat all my garden plants.. expensive hydrangeas, daylilies & everything else… I am so tired of it that I’m buying a very tall fence.. I know you can’t do that but I feel your pain about the strawberries! I said Frank works hard but your mother does also, all of you ! I see it.. grandmother from SC

Hey Logan. Always love the potato videos. I think I’ve told you before but my dad’s specialty crop was his potatoes which were always the best around. Yours look amazing especially the Evas. Do you have an update on your corn maze or the pumpkin patch there or is it too early to know anything. Just curious. Love the channel and the family. God bless as always. My regards to all.

Awh that’s so great to hear, you did not ever mention your father’s specialty crop. That’s great!! I do not have an update at the moment, hopefully soon in the near future. Thank you for asking though, and thank you always for watching John. God bless 😃

The cucumber washer is more for fruit/vegetables that are more clean. While potatoes, and red beets are extremely dirty so the other washer is best for dirtier things. Thanks for watching 😃

If you leave the potatoes in the ground until they die back, wait for a week, they would skin up and not get damaged when you wash them.

Another thing I've seen farmers do is to mow the green part of the plant to encourage the skins to toughen up a bit.
