I have a 2023 xc90 with Harmon Kardon. Do I seriously not have balance and fader options?!?

1:42 removing a lovely physical dial and replacing it with a piece of gloss black plastic is a textbook example of what's wrong with today's cars.

This Volvo doesn't have the ""Gothenburg concert hall" feature because its equipped with harman kardon speakers instead of bowers & wilkins. The S60 is available with Bowers & wilkins, it was just not optioned for this car.

Most volvos in the last 10 years you should be able to get the polestar tuning update and it makes everything so much better. The tsc and transmission especially. Well worth the cash.

My 2021 XC60 has it. It’s night and day when you’re in the polestar mode. It makes the car too high strung to use it on every drive though. The trans will hold gears at 4-5k rpm. It transforms the vehicle for sure, very enjoyable but I wish it was a bit more docile with the gearing. The steering in polestar mode reaches a level of firmness that can’t be dialed up anywhere else in the settings. It’s really enjoyable. Just wish they had a more live-able version of that mode. I use the individual mode with the steering at max firmness and it’s still far too light for my taste.

Those additional surround sound settings are exclusive to the Bowers, does not come with the mid-level Harman option which is how this one was spec’d.

Volvo really knows how to ride that line of making a good looking sophisticated car that's neither generic or over styled.

A lot of Volvo hate in the comments.. I love my S60

Right but the fine print states EV sedans cap at $55,000k. If that is in fact the case, only the Core trim level qualifies for the credit of $7500.00. Not the Plus and Ultimate trim levels unfortunately since their MSRP hits over 55k.

Got a couple of these at my dealership right now. I took it for a drive yesterday and its awesome!! It also has great seats with contrasting white stitching (like the old R-Design). I wish I could afford to buy it!!

As the guys said multiple times, "It's alright." Pretty much sums up today's Volvo in two words. One day I hope Volvo will make another car with performance and driving dynamics that match its great looks.

I have a 2019 s60 T6 R-Design, I honestly feel like a used T8 pre android automotive with a bowers and Wilkins is the way to go (with a warranty of course)

We just got 5 of the black Black editions at our dealership and at least once a week we get someone calling to buy a black edition grille for their S60. It definitely looks good, they need to do it for every model asap it will sell, especially a black edition xc60 or dare I say, a black edition v90?

These cars are fairly quick, but you have to get used to the throttle input to maximize the acceleration. It’s not great from a dead stop. I have a V60 PE and it feels as fast as my M2.

This is true, it takes a bit to figure out how to drive. That being said, it is really good from a stop as long as you're in power mode.

Also, this doesn’t seem to have the sport suspension option which used to be available with the R-Design package that was replaced by the new “Theme” packages and interior options. This is just the standard run of the mill base passive suspension.

in canada, volvo dropped the V60+S60 base MSRP drastically to meet canadian EV rebate qualifications, (even though only the V60 qualifies), and the sport suspension was probably a casualty from that.

The one on S90 with 18(or 19?)1500w speakers is much better than the one on currently 5 series. The bw on s60 is 15 1100w so a little bit not that better but not worse. I have a 2019 6GT and 2021S90 the BW on S90 is much better.

@@akaridy8945 yes I understand because volvo uses a 3 speaker setup for the doors with seperate tweeters, midrange and woofers. Seperate subwoofer also it is essentially the same speaker setup in the XC60 as in my Range Rover evoque. However almost all bmws have midrange drivers and tweeters around the cabin but for the lows they only use 2 subs under the seats. Ofc that's not going to work as well for the whole cabin.. considering it's DOUBLE the price as in volvos but less good

The exact same is coming as the V60 Recharge, exactly what you want. Near identical to this, just 0.1-0.2 slower 0-60 and a little less agile, due to the extra weight and size.

It's not exactly a slow car... Journalists that have been testing these have reached 60 in around 4 seconds. Considering the weight of the thing with the batteries etc that's not bad at all.

Claimed at 4.6sec Not top of the class, but is not really a performance orientated car and is more than enough. Even the top speed is limited to 110mph like all Volvos

4.3 seconds to 60. Comparing to the M340i like at the end of the video, that can do the same run in 3.8-4.0 seconds. Depends what you're looking for. Grand scheme of things, the Volvo is plenty fast.

@@martin-1764 4.6 is the old drive train time, the new one is 4.3 claimed from Volvo. Car and Driver rates it for 4.1, but you'd only get that using launch control. 4.3-4.5 is about what I get on average without the launch control, which is done similar to break boosting.
