You are correct that Meteor Mash is now strictly better in terms of raw damage (it was always better DPE). MM is 100 damage * 1.2 STAB for 120 damage, which used to equal EQ, and now EQ is 110 On another note, I counted 32 NS eligible for the boost and 11 got the boost; NS has a 1/8 chance to boost. @@teamsilva7563 in almost all cases it’s all about the type matchups and whether Ground is up one tier of effectiveness from Steel. You would want to throw EQ only if it does more damage given you only have one move to throw before going down. For example, against Nihilego, Steel is Super Effective (against Rock) and would deal 1.6x damage, but Ground is *double* Super Effective (Rock *and* Poison) and would deal 2.56x damage or 1.6x1.6. And this is all assuming MM doesn’t KO anyway. In any event where both your moves will KO, you want to throw the cheaper one.

This is a High Quality video of Scizor montage in the Master League showing just how good it can be with some boosts as well. The insane chances for those double boosts each was just so lucky as well and this was one of the most satisfying videos on par with the Starmie Gyarados hunting. Amazing video Henry and great respect to the trainer who XL that Scizor for us.

What a treat to watch. Rare to watch a triple-shadow team in Open Masters collect so many dubs. A Perfect Shadow Scizor is a massive flex, and the carnage is glorious.

Maybe Niantic secretly put shadow pokemons to have a higher chance to boost themselves when they are hundos. I think that would be cool, cuz shadow hundos are extremely rare, cannot be traded and only a handful of pokemons have buff effect charged moves.

Spoofing might get you more opportunities at shadow mons, but you still have to actually get them off of normal luck. I don't immediately suspect anything just because of a hundo and two near hundos.

If boost is explained mathematically, Trainer can know why SuperShadowNo0 can get so many boosts. The probability of night slash getting one boost is 12.5%. The probability of using night slash more than three times in a game can reach 33% or more. Assuming that "P" does not get a boost, the probability of not getting a boost each time is P=100%-12.5%=87.5%. The probability of not getting the boost three times is (87.5%)^3≈67%.
