Perfect Heart - A Perfect Celebration Live
Perfect Heart formed in 1990 with the backing of a businessman. This led J D Sumner and other industry pundits to label them the "Million Dollar Quartet." The group began with considerable name recognition. Danny Funderburk had just completed a stint with the Cathedral Quartet. Jeff Stice and Aubrey Stephens had been playing for the Nelons.
They made Singing News chart history when their very first radio single, "Somebody Touched The Lord," went to number one. That song went on to win Song Of The Year in the 1991 Singing News Fan Awards. Perfect Heart was also recognized as the favorite Horizon Group in 1991.
Funderburk left after a few years and was replaced by Garry Sheppard. Bass singer Mike Presnell left in 1998, but re-formed the group in 2008.

My wife and I went to the national quartet convention in 1998. It was in Kentucky. We stayed and ate at the Galt Hotel. Perfect Heart was at a table near us when we were eating there.
I meet Mike in 2012 and I believe him to be one of best men I've had the pleasure to know. God sent him to us when our family was in need.
These guys were so great. Gary seemed to just keep getting better with age.

Saw them many times and even 25 years later , they are as good as any group today.
I love how Garry sings this song. They all do good. Ain't nobody like my Uncle Mike ❤ He's the best bass singer in the world

@@JohnBrandenburg I miss going and seeing them so much! They were my childhood. :) They let me tour the bus and that it something that is still so special to me. Mark Lanier was my pen pal for the longest time while I was in elementary & middle school.
My Favourite Tenor Squeaky from the Kingsmen a different Perfect Heart no Darren or Joseph these guys sound incredible too. ♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️
