    I was really surprised to hear that you're only 12 years old because I was very impressed with your speaking ability as a Korean person learning English. I'm British and learning Japanese so I understand it can be difficult to speak a language structured so differently from your own.     He kinda still has that korean accent tho.. I’m not saying this to discredit him or anything but that’s how most Koreans sound like when they’re learning English. Before he even said he was korean, I could already kind of tell by his slight accent and also, he looks very korean as well

    I only learned the phonics at your age, but I ended up being able to speak English fluently by watching Nickelodean without being tutored or educated from an expensive cram school. Anyway, you're so lucky that you can take a private English class that seems to boost your English speaking and listening skills immediately :)

    I like how she did not correct often (I think only once or twice), especially since this seemed like a first meeting. This creates some confidence in the student. However, if you don't correct enough then the student may create a habit of a particular error. It's a balance and perhaps after the first meeting a tutor should ask the student if they want to be interrupted after each mistake? I think David will never forget what a balcony is.

    Good point i work with younger students so i correct them indirectly, l like « oh me too i like *to* read books " and i also send a report card afterwards , most of my students get annoyed when i correct them and they start giving short answers afterwards 😭

    im a filipino...working in a Calcenter industry for 6 yrs and counting... my dream is to be an esl teacher specifically in cambly coz of the great rates mainly! the 2 hrs pay in cambly is equal to my full day salary already as a CC agent! so its absolutely huge...but i know i have to be on top of my english efficiency thats why im sharpening my skills to be eligible somehow! this is a great conversation! you are very good in connecting with your student!!! .... thank you!! more power!!!

    Reading books is one of the best things to do I wish I could start reading when I was in his age and now am just planning to start reading books before I go to bed, I think this is the best time for me to read as I have problem sleeping. And I hope I could stop using my phone, it's too procrastinating

    You are awesome, your English is so great and you are so young yet. When I was your age (I am now 22 years old) I somehow didn't like English in school and I thought I would never need it and was and am still far away from your level of English. So, keep going learning English and just have fun while doing that, you are already fluent in English and you will be perfect soon.

    I have the desire to teach english as well, i practice my efficiency almost always everyday ,sometimes also i talk to native speakers and ya i dont have any difficulties in understanding them, I'm in my 16months of studying English now and ya ,i made a remarkable improvement since the 1stdAy , ive set a deadline when i get my dreams and that is to be in english .
