I noticed the xbla voice clips. Its so good to see game in its og graphics with less compressed voices. Hearing many different sound effects for ambient, footsteeps, on a cartridge based game is so unreal. Rareware at their peak was incredible.

Especially when the person playing is good. It makes it fun to watch and really nostalgic when you’re high.

I love the music too but this is really good. The mechanics of the game really come to the front without music and the HUD showing objectives achieved, weapon pickups, etc.

some curious facts compared between goldeneye and perfect dark: 1- The damage multiplier of a headshot is much higher in perfect dark than in goldeneye.. approximately 4x the damage in goldeneye. In PD, an indefinite damage that 99% of the time is fatal 2 - Bond can receive a burst of several shots without dying because there is a small interval between one damage and another, as Joana can die instantly for not having this interval. 3 - Enemies in GE never attack with punches or hits, different in PD where this always happens if the enemy is within reach of his hands. 4 - The most lethal weapon in PD is the FarSight .. nothing that is vulnerable can withstand a shot, even with the life multiplier increased by 1000%. in GE some enemies resist the damage of 1 shot of the golden gun/golden PP7 which are the most lethal weapons there. 5- Damage from explosions to enemies in PD can carbonize / deform their body, in GE the explosion just throws them away or knocks them down without visible damage to the body 6 - The bodies of dead enemies always disappear after the fall animation in GE, in PD the bodies are almost permanent, they only disappear if you accumulate many of them or if Joana moves away too much

@@checovisky1419 Yeah I love how much depth the combat has compared to other shooters. Funny enough, most of that depth was because Rare allowed the developers to implement whatever without asking if it was a good idea or not. They just got implemented, and if the others liked it, it would stay.

If anything deserves a PROPER WELL DONE reboot.. It's this game.

Finally the Perfect Dark ASMR stream! 😀

I pretty much never played with a HUD. I love the way it changes strategy when full auto bullet spray is actually useful, vs. with crosshairs it's basically 100% headshots.

Does anyone else have trouble trying to play this on Xbox? I’ve got an Xbox series S but when I try to play the game I keep getting an error notification saying there is a problem with my credentials. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm getting late night Perfect Dark ASMR vibes from this. I'm laying in bed with this playing while eating BBQ almonds and it works. It's just something about the slow play added with the sound effects not bein rushes. Good on you Gras. A unique playthrough to relax to. Is this on the new build with the always high LOD models?

You need the expansion pak for singleplayer and full multiplayer experience yes, otherwise you only get access to the multiplayer challenges and a limited amount of bots.

Have you seen the 8bitdo hall effect sensor replacement joystick for the N64 (part of their new modkit for the N64 but can be purchased separately)? Thought it finally the perfect solution but I unfortunately noticed that the gate was a perfect octagon rather than a square octagon. I'm guessing manufacturers don't know what a real N64 joystick looks like anymore, even though they have an original N64 joystick in some of their pictures lol.

I've seen it yeah. It'll eliminate the deadzones, but this is something original N64 never had any way. The shorter stick length won't help with precision, and while being hall effect eliminates drift and dead zones, values will still skip similar to potentiometers. I hadn't noticed the gate as you mentioned so that's another thing to add...

@@Graslu00 Yeah and unfortunately every other solid option is either expensive or just stopped producing without a word. I have heard of another metal replacement stick however called ReStick. Though apparently the manufacturer had some personal and manufacturing issues. Really seems like anyone who starts manufacturing N64 sticks are cursed lol.

@@sonicray100 ReStick is a scam. I paid 130 last year and have yet to hear a word about it ever shipping, updates on their status or refunds. Oudini Stick is the best alternative at the moment, and for bowls you have Brewstick64. They're expensive but we'll worth it.

@@Srrrgp Mapping an Xbox controller to Player 1 & 2 allowed for really smooth camera & movement that fits this kind of slower paced video. :)

Without the music Joanna's footsteps are some much more noticeable, like she's sneaking around while wearing tap shoes or clogs.

What's the Point of the Cheese? Are they Difficulty Dependent? Do you Unlock Extra stuff? Also have you encountered the Chicago Ghost? A seemingly Rouge AI Simulant with a Cloaking Device and a Crossbow set with the Instant Kill Function that goes around and kills all the NPCs especially in the Nightclub, Punk Pond, and can even kill the Player even with the Invincible Cheat active? Some would say it's a Ghost of James Bond, 007, that Haunts the Game. But it only appears in the First Cartridges of Perfect Dark, Later Cartridges apparently fixed something in it.

Cheese is just a tiny easter egg on every level. You don't unlock anything. The Chicago Ghost was never proven even with the game fully decompiled, most likely kid's minds being kid's minds imagining things when they don't know what killed them, then recalling it wrong in the future.
