    I’ve tested yellow, black and purple on these cars.. polish bullitt purple / black / black is a fair combo. With purple bottom/ yellow upper mount I noticed no wheelhop but slightly more comfortable than black upper. But black ok also.. I have all purple setup on mine and all sweet.. love the polish bullit videos , top bloke… these are best for street setup

    I installed the PowerFlex bushings on my lower trans mount (dog leg) and the upper engine mount. I went with the yellow "street" versions. Got rid of wheel hop AND my clutch engagement was vastly improved. No NVH issues at all as expected. BTW, my car is a 2020 Veloster N with the power package and of course a 6MT.

    That’s great to hear brother, all of our N cars should have those from factory just way too much wheel hop with stock bushings 🫤

    Nice video as usual. I knew it wouldn't be long before you caved in and did the other two...lol. Well worth the effort IMO. FYI no lube on the upper and trans inserts. You want them to be as solid as possible and not move independently from the OEM bushings as much as possible for full benefit. If they don't slide in when installing you can use the old dish washing liquid soap trick.

  • @PolishBullitt

    Yeah you guys kinda forced me haha Hmmm that’s strange cause upper mount came with grease so I thought you have to put it on the insert itself 🤔 oh well it’ll be fine 😉

    @@PolishBullitt Even stranger my upper didn't come with grease and the instructions don't mention it either. Definitely not on the trans insert for sure. Anyway not like it will cause any real harm. Sucks to see you deal with modding in that parking lot with a limited tool set! I remember back when and it was a total pain in the ass. Also I am a huge fan of the right tool for the job. The right tool turns a 2 hr job into 20 min. Hope you can get a house with a nice garage someday soon. Hell if you weren't 800 miles away I would offer up my garage and lift anytime. I miss those Saturdays/Sundays modding with friends and helping each other. Bonus...BBQ and beers after was always a fun time.

Been building a tool collection for almost 50 years and still keep adding....it never really ends but at least I am at the point of tools I always wanted and the needed ones anymore. Your mobile tire guy should have warned you on the tuner wheel lug nuts requiring a thin wall tuner socket. I didn’t know either until my local tire shop informed me so now every time Hyundai does service I lay it in the seat and inform them it’s required. I was scared of going with the purple on lower from past vibrations on urethane cab bushings on 4x4s and on a few occasions still got some hop but it’s been about 9 months now and haven’t had any more . It’s all rated on a Durometer scale for urethane hardness and any color will be an improvement over stock.✌️

    It was a shop who did my wheels not the mobile guy, but yeah nobody told me, I guess it would be in my interest honestly to make sure I have a good socket but I didn’t check haha I’m really happy from my bushing setup so far 😃

    @@PolishBullitt I will give a chance, it might settle down, or wil go yellow or purple on the upper engine mount. That's the one transferring most of the vibrations and NVH

    I just recently replaced my black top mount bush with purple because the black caused a ridiculous amount of vibrations. The Yellow top mount bush has actually been discontinued due to tearing itself apart. I also went purple everywhere else for the same reason. Would not recommend black on a daily driver. Also for the top bush only grease the insert not the outside of the bush itself or it will rotate and destroy itself.

  • @PolishBullitt

    @PolishBullitt

    9 ай бұрын

    That’s a good advice brother honestly I thought you use grease like on the other ones so that’s what I did 😉 but if it comes to vibrations I can barely feel anything more then only using a purple lower bushing 🤔 and yeah I heard about yellow ones falling apart unfortunately 🙂

  • @andywiththen

    @andywiththen

    @@PolishBullitt It's really only felt in Normal mode at low RPM when parking for example. If you use Sport or N most of the time you likely won't notice the extra vibrations with the raised RPM. Could be a manual vs DCT thing. I noticed in my DCT on the highway you could really feel it lugging in the higher gear which is probably normal but more pronounced with the stiffer bush.

  • @PolishBullitt

    @PolishBullitt

    @andywiththen ok ok I see, mine is a DCT also and even in low rpm I can’t feel the difference. I hope I got my bushings right haha but everybody is different so no worries I’m super happy with mine so far 😃

    I would say black upper was a minor increase to NVH but feels best driving. Also yellow was not discontinued, it didn’t destroy itself, it just moves out of position easier, spins itself on the sleeve.. purple adds no more NVH and retains its fit
