Peregrine Falcon (Osprey? Sharp-Shinned Hawk?) Eating Something in a Tree in Columbus, Ohio (2020)

Ойын-сауық

I never see birds of prey (raptors) except in flight and I glanced out my window and there it was, so I had to capture it.
This is from 2020.
Going through my old footage, today, and just found it.
UPDATE 1
I'm in Columbus, Ohio, not a birder, but it looks like a Peregrine falcon, which also looks like an Osprey, which are also found here, and are of comparable size.
Ospreys are actually slightly larger.
The Sharp-Shinned Hawk also looks like that and is even smaller than the Peregrine Falcon, but it was definitely more that a foot long, so I doubt it could be the Sharp-Shinned Hawk.
UPDATE 2:
When I look for autographs on eBay I also look them up on google and compare the minute details.
Autographs make great gifts, if you know someone who adores that person.
Using that skillset I looked at a bunch of Ospreys and a bunch of Peregrine Falcons.
David Lynch puts a series of dots under his name and any autograph without them is not genuine, no matter how close it looks.
The Osprey has a very bright white underside and slender legs while a Peregrine Falcon has a grayish underside with streaks of dark feathers and thick legs so, by that criteria, I will say it is the Falcon.
The Sharp-Shinned Hawk also has a sreaked underside but it tends to be brown or red though it can be gray, and they have a smaller beak and a more Pigeon-like head and are usually less than a foot long, so it is absolutely not one of them.

Too small for hawk or falcon. It's an osprey or a goshawk

@@PlanetLuthian Great! Now I'm becoming an ornithologist! Thank you for encouraging me to research because I often avoid it, though I enjoy doing it.
