It's awesome that Walker did a lot of his own stunts in this! Really happy that this got renewed for a second season! Grab your Captain's hat! We're headed for the Sea of Monsters!

As sad as the idea of recasting Zeus is, I don't think they have a choice. Zeus is the leader of the gods. It would be pretty much impossible to not include him in some capacity or to give a plausabile explanation for him not being present at all. Also as it is explained in the books that gods can change appearance it should be easily explainable why he looks different from that point of view. That being said it is true that whoever is chosen as a Zeus will defientely have a big shoes to fill and it will definetely be difficult to watch anyone else in the role.

There is an interview with Adam Copeland where they talk about the possibility of a spear. If I remember correctly, they actively decided against a spear, because that's Clarisse's special thing :) If I remember which interview it was, I will come back here and edit. It might have been one of those from Riptide Radio.

They do have to recast Zeus he is in a few of the books and he is in just a bit of sea of monsters.

Even if he wasn`t, you can`t have the Greek Gods without "Zeus", he is the King of the Olympian Gods..

Exactly. Even if they don't include every single moment in which Zeus appears in the books it would be impossible to completely exclude him and make a plausible explanation for it.

The only alternative to recasting is the utterly ghoulish “solution” of AI; not just dubiously legal, but cringeworthy.

I totally felt what you said about not feeling a part of the world because of Autism. It at least gives people like us a sense of belonging/meaning when stories like this help you accept being different. I really enjoyed this season and it was definitely a moving surprise to see Lance. Season 2 was announced earlier this week, so I’m very much looking forward to that.👏😀

…Oh my goodness, you just made me realise that Luke is a Lost Causer. Yikes; how did I not see the parallels there?

Ares lost against Percy simply because he was too Overconfident and decided to fight Percy at the Beach where Percy had full Access to Water.

And it's not just fighting by the water (though that was a big part). Despite being by the water, Ares could have easily defeated Percy immediately after he lost the sword but instead he continued playing with him which gave Percy time to come back and take the chance to win. So as you said, Ares' arrogance is the only reason Percy won. If we were looking just at the power Percy has no chance.

@@leonova7828 Yeah, exactly Ares would have easily have won if he wasn`t so "Arrogance" & "Overconfident" and on top of that his "God Complex" made him Underestimating Percy`s Abilities.

“Join me Percy, and we can rule the world together under our Lord and Saviour, Kronos.” “You’re out of your mind, Luke!” As much as the Gods are callous and vicious, they’re still not as bad as the Titans; they were not overthrown just because of powerlust. If Luke was out to install a better system with himself and others succeeding their parents I might be more inclined to support him, but… Kronos is objectively worse, really. As for Gabe, technically he was trying to break in and violated Percy’s property so… self-defence clause? The books more explicitly showed him as a particularly nasty individual who abused Sally during their marriage (and how he dies is SLIGHTLY different), so he’s not someone to get too upset about.
