    can you please elaborate on what you meant by the shared border? I mean I understand what it is, but how to distinguish them? Thank you for the amazing video

    I signed up for an account for PAT booster but see they don't have a generator? Were you using just the Compilation from their practice exams?

  • @mentaldental

    @mentaldental

    Yes, that is correct! Currently, they have random generators for every other section of the PAT except for this one.

    Do you offer one-on-one tutoring? I purchased Booster and the explanations for the TFE problems don't make sense at all. I'm 30 problems in and still nothing has clicked :( I've asked questions in the chat but words w/o videos don't make sense. Moreover, thank you soooo much for this video! I have a better understanding of the strategies at least.

    I wish I could do personalized tutoring, but I simply cannot with the amount of people who ask for it. I am glad the video is helpful for you! 😊

    I can never understand how we ca find out which part is visible which is not by looking the dotted and soli line compared to different views, like if there is dotted line in front view is it visible in end or top view, or if there is a doted line in top view how can we know its visible in from and end and so on, I watched all videos out there, and explanation in dat booster is extrmemely poor, i don't know how to distinguish.

  • @xxdxpure

    @@ashtialhayder9149 Don't know if its late for this but looking at the bottom of the structure on the front view we can see that there is a small section on the left side of the structure that will be obscured when seen from the end view allowing us to rule out option B. From there we can see that the dotted lines above corresponding to the first edge from the right on the top view/front view are all the same, but the edge that is first from the left on the front view/top view is missing in examples A and D allowing us to cross both of them out and get C. Sorry if i did a bad job explaining it

    This was very helpful, thank you! Could you please elaborate a little on what you mean by shared borders though?

  • @mentaldental

    @mentaldental

    Sure thing! By shared borders, I’m referring to two physically adjacent areas of two different views. So the bottom “border” of the top view and the upper “border” of the front view would be shared borders.

    @@mentaldental Would this mean that the following are shared borders: 1. The right border of the of the front view and left border of the end view are shared 2. The left border of the end view and bottom border of the top view 3. The right border of the end view and top border of the top view

  • @mentaldental

    Sure! Let's do process of elimination. I rule out B right away because there is no way that little sliver can have a solid line because we see no solid lines meeting the right side of the shape in the front view. That sliver is supposed to be providing information about the divot on the left side of the shape (from the front view) so it should be composed of two dashed lines running across close to each other along the bottom like we see in A, C, and D. Next I'm going to rule out A because that sloping line to the right at the top makes no sense. There is nothing in the top view that lines up with that. That leaves C and D and now all we need to do is find the difference between them, which is one extra dashed horizontal line. Is it supposed to be there or not? You tell me 😁

  • @ajike

    @ajike

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@mentaldental 😩😂the extra dashed horizontal line is supposed to be there. So, what I did first was line matching. I expected to have 3 horizontal lines inside the 2 borders so that eliminated A & D for me. Leaving me with B & C. Now I understand why it is C. Thank you! P.S. does my method make sense or is it a risky one?
