The production of solar cells from wafers is a central step on the way from silicon to the finished solar module.
In this video, we take a look at the structure of a typical PERC solar cell. Such a solar cell has several passivation layers that reduce the recombination of charge carriers at the surface. In addition, recombination losses are reduced by heavy doping below the contacts.
