idk, it's also true that some people who are not necessarily autistic are just bad at detecting humor, or maybe just not as good as you'd expect them to be. I work with a dude who will not understand something is a joke unless you laugh, say it in a silly voice, or just go extremely over the top with the delivery - doesn't matter how absurd or obvious the joke is. Kinda sounds like the case in this video.

And as cell sat down it was obvious he was making it a point for the audience to notice the shirt which is clearly visible.. Way he tells the story to feel is Advocated and not what happens which I find odd because he also States that you can find the clip online. And of course they're gonna just breeze by it they're on a morning show and V and the point is to promote whatever the guest have going on. Plus Denzel Washington is no longer on the set, so why are they gonna waste valuable air time On a T-shirt that Is not gonna provide enough material to be entertaining. It's a prop which many comedians have done before and it's not necessary to focus On it when there isn't much more To be said other than an acknowledgment for the effor

Watched the clip, the first thing Chris Pratt mentions is the shirt, Sal makes his joke though it happens so fast you don’t really catch it, then he does the 4 way trip bit and it gets some laughs, though Kelly doesn’t laugh and moves on immediately. To me this is a lesson in comedic storytelling. Objectively funny stuff doesn’t happen to funny people as much as you think, they just know what connections to make and what things to exaggerate and focus on to craft a funny compelling story

It could be that, or it could be him remembering a different situation based on his own perspective. Depending on if he was nervous, or maybe in his own head the whole time, it might have had a lot of effect on his own personal recollection.

@@keiitano3857 it’s both imo, his personal unique experience of the situation informs how he crafts and tells the story. Like from his perspective even though he got laughs on his bit Kelly didn’t appreciate it and he focused on that in the moment, and his shirt was noticed but he didn’t get to milk it as much as he wanted and that was a disappointment for him, so then he takes those things that stood out and combines them with some other funny things that enhance the narrative and edits it all together to tell an entertaining story. I’m not saying this is all done consciously I’m sure it’s second nature to some degree but yea the difference between the story and reality is interesting if you don’t just look at it like he was exaggerating or misremembering

What makes this great, is that Sal doesn't realize (or at least he doesn't mention it) that Savant syndrome is a condition that is heavily associated with Autism, wherein the individual has some kind of prodigious talent or genius that is unparallel. That might be where all the messages are from.

All of the Jokers are there, but Sally babe is the only one to speak up and says he's not going four ways with the trip. All of the other Jokers are wearing normal clothes as well. Maybe it would've helped Sal to bring the other Jokers in on it because I can see why he's getting those messages.
