Thank you for your great content. I would also be interested in the Jewish pogroms in Al-Andalus. The Massacre of Granada and Cordoba. How it came about that the first pogroms against Jews on European soil happened in Al-Andalus of all places. Even more Jews died in Granada than during the Crusades.

@@just-some-muslim Come on mate as Muslims we must despite the Crusaders' shortcomings in some departments, you have to respect their military prowess. All thanks to mostly Norman badasses who inherited the Viking warrior spirit. If only there were also organized military institutions on the Muslims' side that had the same zealous determination as the Crusaders then they wouldn't have had lost against the First Crusade. Despite the Turks being superb warriors, their nomadic culture usually puts emphasis on surviving while inflicting casualties from a safe distance, the zealous Crusaders usually had the advantage on melee fights, and castle warfare. Even to this day, Western culture places great emphasis on "last stands". Remember that sometimes battles are not about numbers, but an army's willpower against the enemy's willpower.

Three miles from the camp, where the road entered a narrow, wooded valley near the village of Dracon, the Turkish army of Kilij Arslan I was waiting. When approaching the valley, the crusaders marched noisily and were immediately subjected to a hail of arrows.[1] Panic set in immediately and within minutes, the army was in full rout back to the camp. Most of the crusaders were slaughtered (upwards of 60,000 by some accounts[4]); however, women, children, and those who surrendered were spared. One of the leaders of the crusade, the knight Walter Sans Avoir, was killed in the thick of the action.[5]Three thousand, including Geoffrey Burel, were able to obtain refuge in an abandoned castle.[1]: 132  Eventually the Byzantines under Constantine Katakalon sailed over and raised the siege;[6] these few thousand returned to Constantinople, the only survivors of the People's Crusade.

Can you do a series on the northern crusades and the reason that these crusades interest me is because these crusade’s were being fought in the Baltic states like Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Prussia but these crusade’s also were being fought in Finland and Russia and on Lake Peipus and the main Russian nation at that time was the Novgorod Republic which stretched from the gulf of Finland in the west to the northern Ural Mountains in the east and the Novgorod republic would set the stage for the grand duchy of Moscow and in time the tsardom of Russia and the Russian Empire but these crusades included battles like the battle on the ice but the northern crusade’s also saw the adoption of the flag of Denmark as the national flag of Denmark.

@@EgyptianMuslim76 I was raised as a Christian, but am now an atheist. History was taught very differently back in the early 1960s. It was the height of the Cold War and history education tended to support that America and western culture were a force for good in the world. The uglier aspects of American and western history were glossed over. History education has changed a lot since then. Then, the crusades were taught as a noble cause to free the Holy Land from "infidels." While the crusaders had some "victories," they ultimately failed.

That kind of thing still happens a bit, though not as on purpose. In the UK Boudica is portrayed as a freedom fighter who kicked Romes ass for ages before being defeated. But having watched a video on it (either by K&G or Historymarche, not sure) All she did was Raze a few Celtic towns with almost no Roman garrisons. Then got demolished by an army she outnumbered at least 10 to 1, the whole thing took like a month
