People of the Hydro was created as part of the celebration of our centenary in 2014.
We’ve squeezed 100 years into 28 minutes, exploring stories of challenges overcome, technical innovation, and the changes to the business over a century of renewable energy development.
More importantly, People of the Hydro is the story of the estimated 30 000 people who made ‘the Hydro’ what it is today, Australia’s leading renewable energy business.

An amazing video, makes me proud to think I was lucky enough to grow and enjoy the actual part of three Hydro villages, our children had the best of everything that made them into the people they are today, Proud of the very fact they were all part of this wonderful chance in life we were given, thank you Uncle HEC.
