    I carry a sort of a handmade emergency sewing kit, just about everywhere I go, have strong thread, (on those slim spools) various sewing needles and various buttons, in an old M&M Minis container, slid easily into a coat pocket, a backpack, car console, wherever. It never hurt to learn how to sew, especially quickly and for repairs. It also feels more manly than you'd think, to know and be able to say "I did it by myself."

    About kids messing up, I was in Copenhagen, Denmark, 15 years ago breakfast fancy sas hôtel. A us family’s kid drop his bowl full of milk and cornflakes on the carpet. They did nothing about it. When they came for more food at the buffet they walked through it. I was so shocked I yelled at them💪

    @@anniemysweet2085 Sure. Ive had a fridge and microwave in my garage forever, and what college students do is occasionally bizarre. But that looked like a small business to me, so if other than family use, it’s a big no-no. Maybe I got it wrong, but the caption did say it was a ‘place of work’.

    The night of the 16th, I tried to move a heavy pallet at the warehouse I work at, but I lost my grip and dropped the pallet on my foot, resulting in a really nasty bruise on my toe. Luckily, it wasn't broken, but the bruise stayed until Christmas Eve.

    Several years ago I was bringing a pallet out of the back room with a power mule and ended up getting my foot caught between the power mule and a metal guard around an upright freezer, ended up fracturing one of the metatarsals (bones leading to the toes). After extracting myself I had to walk all the way up to the other side of the store, it was night crew so the one of the other 2 people in the store had to drive me to the er and ended up stuck with most of the work that night. The worst part I lived on the second floor of an apartment with no elevator and my assigned parking was down a hill.

    My husbands work has that same rule about not pooping in the toilet. He has to go across the street to the gas station. Ridiculous

    My husband told me this one about his worst day at work. He was a short haul truck driver in Central Florida and didn't know the area well. He stopped at a truck stop for directions to his next delivery stop. They man carefully wrote down the directions. It was quite dark when my husband, following his written directions, made the last turn on the road which led to his destination. To his great surprise, he drove straight down a boat ramp into a lake at 45 mph! He said he knew he was in trouble when he shone a flashlight into the darkness and saw only water and dozens of pairs of the eyes of alligators! He climbed down out of the cab into water to his neck. He did not know how to swim, so he clung to the trailer and slowly walked to shore. Once there, he met a deputy sheriff who informed him that he was the second person who had put an eighteen wheeler into that same lake off the same boat ramp. That store did not get their order that night. My husband was fired and the man who sent him on that fool's errand was arrested. It seems he had grown tired of giving directions to Latino truckers! Now THAT'S a bad night or day at work!

    Or, worse ( *_I_*_ think_ ) one cart. Is taking up a parking space. So you can't see it, at first, until you find a good parking space, but Yipe! Now you've got to get out of your car, move the one cart somewhere reasonable, then get back and pull your car the rest of the way in.

    I’m guessing water in a Hybrid Tahoe transmission is a bad thing?

  • @georgetrapp6666

    @georgetrapp6666

    Жыл бұрын

    Wellll, I'd have to say, without knowing so much about cars, is: water in a transmission probably isn't good. And the Tahoe is an expensive vehicle, so I'm guessing its parts aren't cheap, or easy to come by. So dumping out the water and trying to salvage the only one they've got may be their closest and most convenient option.

    For fast food and diners, let the homeless know when you close so they can get fresh food instead of digging to the bottom of the bin. Same with retail, let people know when you close so they can easily get unsold items without digging.

    @@phlushphish793 I bake. And people rave over my spice cookies. Kind of a ginger snap, with more character than just ginger. Loosely based on the German Pfefferneuse cookies. My male friends all said how good they were with coffee. The female friends were timid to have more than one, before they asked what they were made with. And I love it when others bake, too. One of my former coworkers used to have our birthdays catalogued, and would bake something different for the occasion. She'd make brownies, sheet cakes, Bundt cakes, you name it. She sometimes took requests.
