BTDT....Here is a tiny pro tip to a tiny problem, completely unrelated to the leaks. Next time you pour out of one of the rectangular cans, hold it with the spout on the high side (maybe in your left hand) and it will pour much better with less spillage. (Acetone @ 6:35.) Seemed like a good idea at the moment, but after the epoxy leaks...never mind. Maybe pour in a 1/4" layer of quick setting stuff first?

I was thinking if you did that sealer coat brushed over the entire surface instead of the voids and indents, it would have sealed it better and potentially stablized the wood a little bit to reduce the sag in the middle some. But im just an arm chair expert tbh lol. My favorite part though: "I'm just gonna lay in the epoxy that way I get stuck to the floor forever..." I just discovered this channel and I'm enjoying binging a bunch of episodes. This episode in particular has me wondering if you could reach out to DuPont and get wider rolls of the Tyvek tape. I would imagine they could cut custom width rolls from the same stock for a fee. Having an 8" or so wide roll would let you tape up the entire bottom of a piece like this without spending a month of sundays doing it.

would this idea work? before u pour resin, flip the table over and (on the back/bottom side)spray on a thinnish layer of lacquer. then after that dries, THEN u flip it back over before pouring resin into the pretty side. after the resin has cured, if need be u can CNC the thin layer of lacquer off if u want to finish it in some other way. i dunno if that would actually work, but...would it?

Is it possible to pour CA glue and activator into through and through voids like that to block them ?

It will look amazing when it's complete. Is it obvious to say the large holes or gaps don't fill completely put a small amount in let it cure then do the deep pour of resin.

Hey John, I'd love to buy a few shirts to support your work, but you don't have sizes for us bigger guys.

Hey John, beautiful slab and beuatiful work! Im a long time watcher and subcriber (Jon Bloodworth) on my other personal use channel and just now on this one! *Question: I saw the respirator that was used when soda blasting the live edge and i have been looking all over for it. Can you please tell me what it is called or post some sort of link to the mask itself?? Also keep up the good work and teaching! It helps get me out of a funk and just get down to my workshop and start creating. Im not much of an expoxy user although I did build my first table as a walnut river table on a walnut frame in a somewhat japanese style. on my channel if anyone wants to check it out... It just created so much dust and mess when sanding and flattening that i just dont want to work with it again. If I can get that respirator, maybe that'll change and i can use your total boat links lol. Thanks! 🪚⚒
