I know this guys yard sale. That’s all his overstock or he’s getting out of the business but he’s also a reseller. Has these once a month and is active on other apps. Has good stuff.

I've done well with those Videonics things. I usually use RCA cables to connect the output from a VCR/DVD into the input on the mixer and then the output from the Videonics goes into your TV. Once it's hooked up you play the movie/dvd and just press all the buttons and move all the dials on the mixer to see what the mixer can do. Usually it's things like brightness/color/contrast etc.

One of the coolest features of the Videonics mixer is the chroma key function, it enables you to do live green screen work. $10 is an absolute bargain for that thing!

video mixers are also used by VJ artists, who make visuals for raves by using a camera to film a screen that shows what the camera shows, to make a feedback loop (like 2 mirrors facing each other make an "infinte tunnel") for weird visuals, and then you use effects to make the feedback loop trippy and colorful. and yeah circuit bending for even weirder stuff

Yes, but that kind of stuff, you have to know a lot. Know the years, editions, cards, how much they cost, how are they rated, etc. If you are not into that world, you just see a flashy card, and have no idea what you are looking at xD

Tbh. if you don't know a whole a lot about TCG it makes no sense to randomly buy packs like that for variety of reasons.

Hey Froggy, thanks for letting that Telemania Star Trek phone slip by on the e bay! I bought mine around that time... They generally all "look(s) like new" ( lol, unless really used hard ), because of the quality plastic used and collectors bought bunches back when near new. You did not miss much, the Enterprise shows up more often now that most people do not use landline phones much. The X-Wing was a missed opportunity, but they do show up. But this yard sale did have some values worth the effort for sure, good work!

Appreciate how you give the low end for resale not just the inflated highest price ever sold.

I've always done the same. You can post an item valued at $100 for $60 and sell it day of. Or, you can list it for $100 and wait possibly months, if not longer.

I sure do have dreams like this. Of course I only live nightmares, right before Covid I show up to a yard sale around 10 am and start digging through a box of old toys. I ask the guy if he has any Pokémon cards (the primary thing I collect) he says “ooohh, I had at least 300 of those originals but a guy just bought the set for ten bucks about 5 minutes ago.” Distraught and angry I ask if there were any base set charizards in the lot. To which he tells me there were “about 4” I walked off. I remember this so vividly, it was literally in October 2019

man the very first thing I noticed was that video mixer. that is an insane steal for $10, that def would have been the very first thing I grabbed. for the circuit bending reason. its a crazy machine

I remember growing up my dad took me and brother to yard sales and a flea market near our house. We got Pokémon cards, wrestlers, video games etc and nowadays it’s nothing like it used to be

The little Cartoon Network action figures are from a show called “Ben 10”. An awesome show! It has a pretty solid fan base, though it’s a lesser known show.

Haha. People are gonna love my garage sale I have this coming summer. With around 200 chase diecast (non-hotwheels)... Most of my coin collection. 90s toys. Lego sets and Minifigures. A ton of goodies. 😃

I'd imagine it would cost more to have a Tim Couch card graded than the actual card is worth lol

That N52 controller is the best. I used one back in my World of Warcraft and City of Heroes days. I've never been a fan of WASD.

Those graded cards come in a box with cards. I can't remember exactly but I had a few of those. One graded card per box. Former collector.🐎

Same here. I’ve been doing this for years and I’ve never come across any sales in my area like that. It’s nothing but home decor, toddler clothes and dishes.

You passed up on the broken systems? Those sell for parts only very quickly.

Those cards were great when they first came out. A lot of potential, but unfortunately none of them panned out. Couch was the 1st overall pick in 1999 and King was a journeyman backup.

Your videos remind me of a rule my dad and I have when buying. Buy what you like, that way if you get stuck with it, you have something you can use or enjoy. A sale like this i wouldn't see any value in, so I certainly wouldn't 'dream about' it. Looks like you scored some good deals though.

I can't believe you left those cars and cat tractor all new in package, especially if you have a booth. That stuff sells well in our booth..easily sells for $4-$5 each

Combat and Defender for Atari! First two games I got with my first edition console back in the late 70's (the wood one) , played them for hours they were that cool...boxes look in mint condition as well

Interesting finds. The sports card boxes I would have gobbled up though u weren't into that stuff. Cool atari games if u gonna play them also. Ill keep an eye out for more of your content, garage sale finds are good go to destinations imo.

If that mystery box was sealed then it could be good just because the holiday issue has a chance of 5 packs and it's usually the 2002-2003 packs (mostly unlimited editions) and the chance for some if the graded cards in it could make the money back

Oh man I used to love that Sega Game Gear with Sonic II ...8 double A bat-trees...insane but for a lit color screen, they were ahead of them selves with that thing. And Echo the dolphin 😆 omg just why....lol

A tip for the graded sports cards. Those were most like from a Walmart/Target brand of sports cards. They sometimes throw in graded or autographs, but they aren’t ever really worth much
