I haven't seen anyone wearing the BB58 except on the web. Everyone is wearing a smartwatch except me it seems. Mechanical watches are more niche than we think.

I might be in the minority, but I greatly prefer the vintage styling of the BB58 to the modern Rolex Sub.

The BB58 was my most worn watch in 2020. In 2021 I bought a no date sub. And then sold the sub because I prefer the BB58. I didn't settle for the BB58 vs. the sub, I prefer it. To me the BB58 provides a much better look and fit.

No one is 'dumping' the BB58. Your title makes it seem like people are getting rid of them in droves.

Dude, you are too influenced by others / social media. If you like a watch that is ALL that matters.

Most "watchguys" are usually sheep that buy what they are told is good vs buying what they truly like. After acquiring a certain watch, they soon realize that it doesn't live up to the hype and end up flipping it, especially if they overpaid. Then they repeat the cycle with another overhyped watch.

Most new Tudors are "hot" and hard to obtain at first. Wannabee Rolex flippers buy them pretending they're hitting the watch dealing game big time. A few make a little money, then prices settle as the watches become easily available and so some are dumped. Tudor aren't and never will be Rolex but they are good watches and true watch lovers know this.

Tudor are fantastic watches. The problem is that too many people view them as a cheaper alternative to Rolex. They are basically the Porsche Boxster of the watch world. A poor persons version of the the better item that they only buy because you can't afford what they REALLY want. Which is actually ridiculous. Poor people don't wear Tudor watches nor do they drive Porsches.

It's Kevin O'Leary's fault people are dumping Tudors. He single handed ruined Tudor by saying: "Why should I buy a Tudor? I should just get a Rolex".
@overman2306
You shouldn't buy a BB58 if you desire a submariner, but you could buy a BB58 if you desire a vintage submariner.

I have the BB58. I bought it for myself to enjoy and only for myself. It’s a great watch for the money, and I could not care less about the hype, if it’s too popular, social opinions etc.

Buying a watch or car based on KZread influencers and impressing other people sets you up for nothing but disappointment and buyer's remorse. buy what YOU love, not what you think others will. That's all this video really needed to tell us.

Your comments are very interesting, and they made me rejoice once more (like I even needed to) at my decision to drop all my social media profiles a while back. It is amazing the effect that they can have over the perceived value of any given item. My collection includes all of the three watches you mentioned and luckily I have no idea as to how exciting or boring they might be regarded in the community, which leaves me the opportunity of appreciating them just for what they actually are and what they mean to me.

It's a great watch at an accessible price point, and situation. That makes it much easier for people to try it out. If they don't like it, they can quickly get out of it without taking too much of a bath. Tudor is a great brand that makes excellent watches.

I’ve very recently purchased a BB58. I personally love it and in my opinion it’s the best diver watch for the money. It’s extremely well built, in house calibre, and 5 year warranty is fantastic! It’s certainly my favourite.

Nice review! As a BB58 owner I will never sell mine. Still in the collection. Has all the check marks checked for my needs.

As long as it would take me to save for a luxury watch, I'm not going to be in the mood to play the waiting list game at a Rolex AD. So the BB is a very compelling proposition, and it has all the classic good looks that I would want. Sounds like the BB could be an even better value in the near future.

Have not seen one 58 in the wild. Conversely I see Rolex nearly every weekend when out and about.

It's funny how my stepson just bought one new at the AD and loves it. I would say they're pumping not dumping!

The 58 is simply the best watch you can buy for that price point. My 58 blue hasn’t left my wrist for 12 months. It is absolutely bang on.
