I bought a K70 a couple months ago and am blown away at the performance. I have a 40mm XS on the front and find the setup adorable. It just really makes me want to go out and shoot!

Just ordered a K70 and the 40 mm XS today. This is to replace my Pentax Kr. I have a 16-50 2.8 and a few other lenses but excited to get the 40 mm XS for a more compact walk about! About $700 for both!

Let her finish her comments! Oh, I see someone else said this--we don't get to hear the end of her answers, for questions he put to her! Love this, though that was maddening.

I see that you are old friends and it was a nice reportage but I also agree that it is a pitty that you did not let the lovely lady finish her sentences. She seemed to have a lot to say that probably was missed. I am a Pentax user and is extremely happy with my gear.

The continuous series of Bob Myers interruptions are so disrespectful to Deborah that they ruin what might have been an interesting dialogue. I was particularly interested to hear how a professional would rate the K-3, but so frustrated with her responses to Bob's questions being cut short that I gave up listening after half the video. Bob, if you are lucky enough to have Deborah return to carry out a review of perhaps the K-1 and K-P, by all means ask questions, but then try listening to her answers, just listen and keep quiet - like you are interested in what she has to say. Thank you.

Very valid points. We will be doing more like this during the year along with other video and photography pros. This was my fist attempt at this and lessons have been learnt, thank you for your possitive feedback, most appreciated.

Was it advertised as a interview nope ..... Its more of a conversation than a full on interview which you were wanting , hence you thrown out the dummy tit .

Really enjoyed watching this, would be nice to see some of the pictures when possible. many thanks.

A follow-up would be nice. Did she buy a Pentax after all? You don't have to interview her - just the information if she did and what kind of kit did she choose.

Both my wife and I have been using a K5 with 116w firmware for a number of years with each the 18-135 and shared 70-300 & 15mm. Wish that the 18-135 was actually 16 on the wide end. What I am curious about is if the K70 is better than the K5 body and in what way and if worth doing an upgrade. I also would like to know thoughts about using the 16-50 f 2.8 lens recognizing the shorter reach but faster lens. Is the image quality better and focusing faster and would there be a difference between using the 16-50 on the K5 compared to the K70. I know that some say that the K5 is really the flagship of the Pentax bodies and some reviewers feel that the K70 is a downgrade to the K5. Just thought others who like Pentax would give some opinions. Another pro photographer and myself tested the A6000 Sony with the Zeiss lens and could not get sharp images of full length human subjects. Close up was great and other images were fine but for some reason neither of us could capture good full length and returned each of our cameras.

so did i get that right: she loved the pentaxes especially for their integrated flash and pentax actually removed the integrated flash in the k3 mark 2? :D

Seem like a nice bloke Bob - but you need to actually listen to the responses of the person you are asking questions - I didn't get to the end every time Deb was talking I was getting interested then you would cut her off.

Cut off Deb mid sentence telling a story about selling her dad’s cine camera ! Very rude man.

Don't think Pentax has been re invented by Richo as stated here. They have produce the same high level of manufacture as always.

Also I forgot to mention I was disappointed when Pentax called the KP I liked it when the did K10D K20D etc but drives me mad when they did Kr Km etc makes no sense they then went K70 K 30 etc but then lost the plot again

I think you did a good job only thing about Pentax that drives me mad is the lack of lens etc from 3rd party etc. My 1st SLR was a ME Super as well

I own Pentax but dont forget that with Nikon you can use the old manual focus lens as well with the Nikon bodies

robert43g you can use the old k-mount lenses with pentax without the use of an adapter that you need for nikon to use older lenses...

Only a silly person who knows nothing about Pentax could mock Pentax. That pixel shift thing alone beast shit out of canons and nikons, not to mention the low light performance.

Not true that Pentax DSLR's were reinvented after Ricoh took over. The things the brand is good for, built in IS, weather sealing, the Limited lenses, the control schemes that this pro photographer enjoys, were all there long before Ricoh.

Could this guy be any more patronising? "You may not know that Pentax was bought by Ricoh..." Yes mate she probably did. "You might not know this, you can actually use the old K Mount lenses on the modern cameras!" And her "DO THEY??" But this silly fart is too egotistic and chauvinistic to realise she was mocking him. Well done Deborah for putting up with this fool.

Im sorry you feel this way, s it happens Debbie has ben a good friend for over 35 years and we deiscussed this prior to filming and she was not aware Ricoh had purchased the imaging part of Pentax and was not aware old lenses could be used. Debbie has ben using Nikon and is not a geek so does not regularly keep up to speed with manufacturers and what is going on. I have a lot of respect for Debbie and the work she does, maybe I am an 'old fart' but at least we are trying to provide our audience with information they may find useful and/or interesting. I don't get paid for doing these videos so as you obviously do not like them please don't bother watching anymore of my videos, there are a lot of people who enjoy them.
