I liked the song before they did it, but not nearly as much. I know people who really didn't care for this song, but LOVE their take on it. SO beautiful, and great to hear Avi sing more, and Kevin's cello.

yeah, I didn't care much for the song when it first came out, and since then, the radio has made me kinda hate it. but PTX can make me love anything, & I love their arrangement. Kirstie is stunning, Avi is heartwrenching, and then Kevin comes in with the loveliest sweetest voice ever + his cello playing? I'm done.

I hated it when I first heard it. I don’t like A Great Big World (I think that’s their name?) and I don’t like Christina Aguilera either. Apparently I like the song, just not the people singing it originally lol

I know right! Sometimes I spend the majority of the video watching his facial expressions, such an honest and beautiful appreciation for music.

I've probably listened to their cover of Say Something a couple hundred time,s it still doesn't fail to make me react, sometimes just goosebumps other times a few tears. It's the sound a of a heart breaking.

Your reactions to Avi and Kevin was my same reaction hearing them sing for the first time

I cry every time. watching their faces and how genuine they are, their own personalities showing through the sadness. Mitch has disdain like "your loss", Avi has disappointment like "ILY and this is very bad news", Scott looking expectantly at subject like "no really, now's the time to say something come ONNN", and kirstie looking like she's all out of tears and really would still follow subject to the end of the earth if they wanted her to. Kevin's face is a bit harder to read (though he does register sadness) but it's probably because he is beat boxing AND playing cello. Anyway I like how genuine this feels. It really packs a punch.

This was he first video I watched of yours. I cried. Last night my husband had said he was done with me. This song brought me to tears. We talked and he said we will talk and he will try. Why does that moment with Kevin so powerful. It tugs at my heart when he comes in at the end. I wouldn’t want to make you cry but it’s nice to know someone else feels the song as deeply as me. I think I’ve mentioned it in previous views but I’m trying to avoid our little election so I’ve been revisiting my favorites. You are certainly one of my favorites ☮️💟😷

Seriously, their performance of this song Live at the Orpheum (only if you haven't seen it already) is jaw dropping. It's not so much sad and emotive as just plain stunning. Ugh, it's just that words are sometimes inadequate to express what they do and how they do it. You don't have to react to it but I DO urge you to see it.

A couple more suggestions: The first song I ever heard them do was "Somebody That I Used to Know", and it is still one of my favorites. Also, if you want to smile, check out "Thrift Shop" and/or "Gangnam Style". Both show their amazing talent and weird humor at the same time.
