FYI: The church they are in is called "the Wayfarers Chapel" and is located high atop the cliffs at Rancho Palos Verdes near Los Angeles overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Locally it is called the "Glass Church" for obvious reasons.

You don't really get to see it very well, but Mitch's jacket has angel wings.

Their powerful climaxing harmonies towards the end is known as their wall of sound. Imagine will be a treat. Recommend their Grammy winning Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy. A band without instruments singing a song with no words.

I definitely agree with this suggestion!!

If you want a song where Matt bass is low and deep watch Making Christmas his bass there is incredible. He fits really well with PTX. Another good one to listen to for a good showing of his bass New Rules Are You That Somebody. That is the Matt and Kevin show. And as mentioned The Sound of Silence Matt shows his deep bass there too. Kevin also sings in Mary Did You Know. Their version is heavenly. You're doing amazing. Don't worry about pausing we Pentaholics are used to it. Keep doing a great job ❤

I love the arrangement on this one. Starting with the hum to simulate the traditional bagpipe sound, then great vocals by Matt, Scott, and Mitch. Then Kirstie starts softly and builds with such power and conviction, and then to have the entire song wrapped up by Kevin.

Subscribed for the PTX reactions. Recommend Sound of Silence, Bohemian Rhapsody and Say Something. Have fun. You’ll enjoy anything they have put out. They are my favorite group in the world and it isn’t even close.

I know this is a year late (just found you today) but I'll never understand the people that complain about reactors ... REACTING while watching the videos. If we want to watch/listen to the music video without interruptions, we can (AND SHOULD) go watch the originals. Anyway, I like your style. Looking forward to more. I also love how you locked in on the original trio (Scott, Kirsten and Mitch) in both Daft Punk and here. Pentatonix doesn't exist without Kevin and Avi (then Matt) but it never happens without those three growing up and singing together throughout their childhood.

Agree Matt’s bass doesn’t resonate quite in the same way as Avi’s; but I love its smooth as butter quality.

You should watch 'Down (Marian Hill KOver) - Kevin Olusola' to get a better idea of just how talented Kevin is. He is absolutely amazing.

Sort of by accident, you started reacting to Pentatonix with a slow one, then a fast one, then another slow one. You might want to keep that concept going, as they are so so different from song to song. I recommend you check them out doing some rap with "Can't Stop Us" as a faster tune. And of course it's almost Christmas time, so "12 Days of CHristmas", "My Favorite things" and others could be in the mix too.

Since you're enjoying PTX so much, let me recommend a couple of other great a capella groups: Voiceplay does very theatrical videos (this time of year, I would definitely recommend "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch"), and also Home Free (they're primarily a Country a capella group, but they can do pretty much any genre. For a little Christmas fun, I would recommend their cover of "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer", or "Full of Cheer".

I really enjoyed yout reaction and the expression on your face when Kevin surprised you at the end, priceless. This is the first video of yours that popped up into my video stream and it was worth the watch. I'm also a new subscriber as well.

One thing I noticed is that sometimes the tone of your voice makes notes sound higher or lower. Matt is singing around the range that Avi would be if he did the bass for this song. And Matt has to do Avi’s old parts while performing. He’s singing the same notes but Avi’s voice is heavier and heftier so it sounds deeper. Also another thing I noticed is sometimes it matters how high the others are singing because it offers a comparison. There’s an all girl Acapella group that Scott cofounded named Citizen Queen. The first time I heard them, I couldn’t believe the bass was singing that low, but when I sang the notes myself, it was higher than I thought but she has a heavy voice so it sounds lower, plus it’s an all girl group so they’re are singing naturally higher. So in comparison with the other girls’ voices it sounds really low.

That’s really interesting. Maybe that’s why Avi’s voice has such a special effect on me when I listen to it. It sounds so much deeper than the rest. I’m not a singer so I wouldn’t really come up with this myself but I’ll keep this in mind next time. Thank you! 👏🏻

@@CarmenReacts yeah I suggest u actually react to Citizen Queen. Maybe their “Evolution of Girl Groups” or their cover of “No Tears Left to Cry.” But for an example of what I said earlier, in their cover of “Señorita” the beat boxer takes over the baseline, when the bass takes lead. Although they’re singing the same baseline line, it sounds higher. I also forgot they’re not completely acapella anymore, but most of the songs they covered are.

Found you because of the reactions to Pentatonix. So sorry that people were unkind in commenting on the first one. Technical glitches happen to all of us. I'm happy that you learned some new techniques. I will HIGHLY recommend two of their originals for reaction. "Come Along" will really give you a great experience for Matt. "Sing" is the original 5. Keep it up, and also check out the acapella group 'Home Free.'

I was once a big fan of Pentatonix. As someone involved in music as a teen I appreciated the technical excellence, near perfection, they displayed. Unfortunately they became political and I immediately divorced them. I’ve since switched interest to Home Free. They’ve been a group since 2000 and now have a technical excellence that may even exceed Pentatonix. In 2013 they also competed in, and won, the fourth season of The Sing Off. Enjoy your trip with Pentatonix, but eventually you must give Home Free a listen.

PTX stirred my soul, amazingly with there cover. I would invite you to react and review Kevin's solo work. Search Kevin Olusola KOver. Shock value " priceless ".

Anybody doing music reactions should pause now & then. It is a reaction after all. And it is needed with PTX and a few others or you will be blocked. So no need to explain why you have to stop sometimes. If Kevin's beat boxing weren't so fundamental to the PTX sound, they would probably have two male tenors. Good reaction.
