Thanks. Fascinating as always. Gosh Penshurst is so beautiful nestled in an equally gorgeous part of England, Kent. 💕

The infant under the brass memorial would not have been a stillbirth. Stillborn children could not be baptised, and therefore could not be buried inside a church, however elevated their parents. The infant under the brass memorial would have, at the very least been baptised, and would have therefore survived birth and lived sufficiently long for the Boleyns' chaplain or the local priest to have given him this sacrament.

Love your channel, it showed up in my feed recently, and I immediately subscribed! Penshurst has been one of those must-know-more places for me. Being a Yank, some day I hope to get to England and do a Tudor tour, that period of time and its people are an obsession for me, my library on the subject has grown to over 200 books in under 10 years. That said, your channel provides new, in depth, fascinating material every single video. Thank you!

I want to be a private gardener on any one of the magnificent estates! That's what happens when you are a "Plant person" and plant lover for 50 years now and it hasxbeen your life's passion and work....you watch and pay note to the plants etc in shows and movies instead of actually paying heed to the story a lot of times!

I enjoyed your video. It reawakened my Tudor curiosity....but I do have a question: Why would Elizabeth Boleyn have had a stillborn child in 1522(or even later) while her youngest acknowledged child was (supposedly) in his twenties ? Born in 1480, she would have been 42 or so. Pretty late for an extra child !!
