I love houses that have so many interesting tiny treasures in crowded rooms. They add unexpected joy. I am also very happy to see the black dolls as residents.

Hello Michael and Paula. I had to get in touch after stumbling upon this video today because I have this doll house! I don’t have the coach house unfortunately but my house is identical and yes the wallpaper is original because I have the same paper though I have different paper on the door flaps. I’ve had my house over one year but unfortunately I am terrified of it as I’m afraid to harm it and yet it’s rather scruffy and sad looking so isn’t bringing me joy in its current state. It’s so difficult to know how to proceed and I would love to make contact with Paula. I also have the garden and steps and a large box of original antique items and furniture including tiny people and a working Victorian range cooker but again I’m afraid to even get them out the box. I’ve been mulling over the idea of starting to do something restoration wise with my house hence me googling antique dolls house on KZread today. I couldn’t believe it when I saw my house 😮

Such an interesting video. I think I've solved the mystery of 'Stolehote' & have emailed you a couple of items to your Dollhouse museum address that will hopefully clarify.

Kudos for her for choosing not to represent the black figures as servants. I think in the context of history, it's ok for them to be represented as they were, as it highlights the consequences of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. I'd love to see this channel show some houses with black servants and have a black guest speaker come on and tell us about life for black servants and slaves who had been brought over to Europe and Britain as servants or pets in these grand households. If you come to the UK, you will see them in the corner of portraits in the galleries.
