Very nostalgic . Can just about make out my gran’s old house in the shot at 0:16 , that’s Station Terrace . There was an alleyway between her house and the swimming pool that ran up to the high street . There was a shop opposite the clock tower where we’d buy our “jubblies” on our summer hol’s back in the 80’s . They were little white plastic pots of frozen flavoured water with wooden sticks in them , you could have them “topped” with hundreds & thousands or nuts . They were one of the highlights of our holidays , well , those and the slush puppies you’d get from the newsagents next to the clock tower . I wonder if those shops still exist , we’re talking 40 odd years ago ….

@@theflyingfox816 Number 2 , right up the top , there was one big house next to her when you came out the front door on the right , and then you turned right into the alleyway

@@theflyingfox816 She was called Gwyneth Thomas(born “Hopkins”) . The local priest was Ieuan Wynn-Jones , he was a good friend of the family and blessed my wedding , he had a terrible smoking habit and passed away from emphesyma problems a while back

@@theflyingfox816 that’s literally where my “auntie Joan” lived , she was a pillar of the community but got nobbled “reappropriating” funds for the working mans club - allegedly - small world . Great memories of the 80’s down there , the smell of sulphur and the toot of the steam train in the morning , getting older sucks
