Yes I think they kept him close to Oscar Wilde novel he was utterly self absorbed

The actor deserved better than the horrible season 3 storyline given to him. Same with Piper.

So miss penny dreadful I’m watching again I wish it could of gone on n on in other seasons . Dorian is so selfish he dropped Angelique just as he built him/her up at her coming out Ball ! Wants Lilly all to himself gets jealous of Justine n the woman Lilly wants to create a army ! As in Oscars Novel Dorian was incredibly selfish - VICTOR is selfish about Lilly - I think Lilly should of left Dorian n just had all the women as she tells Victor to get lost n get over her / I think Lilly could of got her own lovely home without Dorian

Hate s3, lily is going after men, but dorian treated so many women awful, hell, Angelique god writing is bad in s3

I think season 3 had a lot of problems, but I don't think this is an example of that. Dorian to me seemed just incredibly bored, which is why he followed LIly's murderous activities in hopes of being entertained.

Dorian is fundamentally selfish ie drops Angelique at his insistence of the coming out Ball for Lilly intolerance for anyone who doesn’t keep him amused ! Initially he said he wanted a revolution yet obviously on his terms he wanted just Lilly , when lily introduced Justine & all the others selfish Dorian wants all the attention, he wanted a world of domination with Lilly the immortals not liberation for women

Ahh yes the absolute worst part of the show. This storyline was cringe bad and the actor's deserved so much better than a rad-fems wet dream. It was an extreme downturn in the story and was incredibly out of place. Male creature is born and believes all humans are cruel due to his treatement. Female creature is born and is loving and caring. Male creature remembers his past life and regains his humanity and love of it. Female creature remembers hers and suddenly wants to...KILL ALL MEN AND MAKE AN ARMY OF MURDERERS!!!!! And the Justine character was 1 dimensional and poorly written.
