    When I first got my 36 inch longboard, I complained that it was harder to keep my balance since it was shorter than the 40 inch I was used to, and that's why I sucked. After seeing you balance on this tiny board like it's nothing, I gotta either get better or find another excuse 😂😂

    Thanks, bro 😀 Of course it’s small, just for fun 🤪🏄🏻‍♂️. My current preference is around 24" wheel base, I have similar board and now switching to Cantellated Tesseract. I prefer to talk about the wheel bases rather than board length because wheel base actually defines the standing platform. You could have 32" board with long wheelbase like 26" while trick skate had only 14" with the same length.

    @@2GoatsInATrenchCoat Yeah, indeed, 32" is almost the hugest modern base on the market. Bhangra has 32.7" under length of 48.5". It’s like a ship's deck, loved it so much for dancing but it’s so big and expensive so I decided to purchase Waves Sky Walker which is shorter.

    @@olegeau yeah, the only problem I have with the huge wheel base is that I'm very short, so I have to stretch really far to pop my board over a curb or a crack. but that's easily solved by just moving further back on the board. now that I think about it, that has more to do with the deck length. So I guess I have no complaints about the wheel base!

    @@2GoatsInATrenchCoat Well, with such a long board no matter how tall you are you need to do steps towards the tail in order to pop it. That’s why I love cruisers 30-32" long with bigger wheel base compared to a tradition skate - smth between 16 and 20". There your feet are in place and always ready to pop.

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey 👋🏻❤️ First of all longboarding is for fun and pleasure no matter how far your progress is 😉. Making dancing moves on a longboard is pretty much similar to a Pennyboard except for on a Penny you have to make slow very careful steps like if you’re walking on rocks. So ride long flexy dancer 🏄🏻‍♂️ with nice turny trucks like Paris for example and enjoy every little new move or just improvement Believe me I’m forty and still haven’t learned lots of moves and tricks like kickflip for example. But I believe I’ll succeed one day. The thing is just that I more concentrated on my family, job and mostly ride freeride longboarding 🤷🏻‍♂️ So come one, enjoy riding the way it’s good for you! We aren’t 15 year old teens that could ride the whole day through 🙂

    You board could be almost the same, you just need to experiment with trucks setup. Make your board more nimble - loosen the kingpin nut and tighten just until the hanger stops to rattle due to gap between the bushings and the bushing seat. Try flipping over the upper cup washer for more hanger movement. If the board still doesn’t turn good enough you should change bushings to softer cones like Venom Supercarves 78A.

If you don’t like smth don’t deal with it - change it 😉 I’m not saying about new board, it could be changing your current setup. For example, once you make your board more nimble it could wheel bite, then you could rise your deck clearance with risers. These could be even self made plastic plates

    Hi, Jonaiffy! Well, the key here is to learn the slide on longboard first - it’s much more stable and then transfer this skill to Penny. Actually I think if I did it on a slope I would be able to pull the longer one or even more longer if I put freeride wheels on it. I was surprised by sudden KZread activity so I plan to film some tutorials including carving and sliding 😊🏄🏻‍♂️

    Hi Avo Booty! 😀 For powerslide try crouching in very tight turn 🏄🏻‍♂️ and then stand up in the middle of the arc to unweight the board. As you’re standing up and unweighting the board push it outside and forwards with your feet. While doing set up carve lean inside the turn a lot hanging off your 🥑 🥑 like if you’re sitting on a chair. This will make pushing out your board much easier. And yes train many of these tight sitting carves before pushing and unweighting the board 🤔 Good look! 🤞🏻

    45? How your heel didn't hit the ground.

  • @olegeau

    @olegeau

    3 жыл бұрын

    Well, heels don’t hit the ground because it’s top mount, quite high deck. Actually heels and toes bend and hang off the board but not that much to touch the ground. Comparing wide and narrow boards - lean could be the same, so the only difference is in foot bend. Other factors affecting deck height matter much more like: deck mount (top mount or drop through), wheel size, risers height. So in this case the wheels are worn to 54 mm, still the heels don’t hit the ground, but if they did I’d use 1/8" inch riser pads or thicker to lift up the board.
